Police have charged a 31-year-old Malaysian man with four counts of careless driving occasioning grievous bodily harm over a crash near Lancelin on Easter Sunday that landed himself and six other people in hospital - and left one man fighting for his life.
He has also been charged with two counts of careless driving occasioning bodily harm.
The crash occurred on Sunday afternoon around 1.20pm on Indian Ocean Drive in Breton Bay.
The accused man was allegedly driving a Toyota Corolla when it collided with a Mazda hatchback, causing it to roll several times.
The Mazda's driver, a 52-year-old man, and his three passengers were seriously injured in the crash, as was the driver and two passengers in the Corolla.
Two people were airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.
The remaining passengers were driven by ambulance to Joondalup Health Campus or Royal Perth Hospital.
The charged man will appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on Friday.
