Rated 5 out of 5 by Andrew from Fantastic cottage! We had a great experience staying at the Beachside Spa Cottage! The trip was a mixture of business and pleasure, with the cottage offering fantastic flexibility for staying with a work colleague, and later my wife. The cottage is exceptionally well appointed with very modern appliances. The deck and view to the water are perfect for an afternoon drink. Of course be aware the cottage is right on the Esplanade, which provides extremely easy access to the beach, but does mean there will be cars passing by regularly, which we never found to be a problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wendy from Don't judge a book by its cover. Beautifully set out for a relaxing holiday. There was 6 of us and we never seemed under each others feet. Loved how doors opened up to create inside/outside space. The icemaker fridge was a hit. Only downside was table only seats 4; but as we ate outside this was a very minor grip. Use of sporting equipment was a bonus.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Terri from Good short stay place. Property was very clean and neat, and the hosts were very accommodation. Road noise was a huge and constant issue; even with the doors closed. Sometimes so loud it was impossible to hear the television. The house is probably good for 1/2 night stay, but any longer and you realise that there is no pantry or place to store food or essential cooking items. The same as in the bathrooms; looks very swish but absolutely no vanity space or storage for any items; even hard pressed to leave tooth brush and paste out let alone anything else. There is also a lack of seating in the lounge area, and a restriction on being about to move things around to suit your families needs. The location to the beach is great and local shops are near by, but not really walking distance. Love the spar but very exposed to the road and hordes of foot traffic on the paths - fish bowl feeling. Also a lack of shade and being unable to wear sunscreen made it difficult to enjoy during the day. The spar also took a fair bit of maintenance, covers, cleaning cycles and chemicals. Lots of rules and regulations about it took out some of the joy. Over all would recommend for only short stays.
