Antibes (/ɒnˈtiːb/, French: [ɑ̃.tib]; Provençal Occitan: Antíbol) is a Mediterranean resort in the Alpes-Maritimes department of southeastern France, on the Côte d'Azur between Cannes and Nice.
The town of Juan-les-Pins is in the commune of Antibes and the Sophia Antipolis technology park is northwest of it.
Antibes is located on the east side of a neck of land called La Garoupe. It was founded by Phocaeans from Massilia in the 5th-century BC. As a Greek colony and Roman settlement, it was known as Antipolis (Ἀντίπολις, Antípolis, lit. "Cross-City") from its position relative to Nice (anc. Nicaea).
Rome gradually increased its hold over the Mediterranean coast. In 43 BC, Antipolis was officially incorporated in the propraetorial (senatorial from 27 BC) province of Narbonesian Gaul, in which it remained for the next 500 years. Antipolis grew into the largest town in the region and a main entry-point into Gaul. Roman artifacts such as aqueducts, fortified walls, and amphoræ can still be seen today.

The new Antibes has an architectural front design and an open plan living area, very popular in homes today. It has a high specification and bright modern interior with a fresh and breezy feel. Shades of blue in emperor and ocean tones give a calm relaxing feel and designer touches include a feature TV area and 'Ocean drive' splash backs.
http://tourvideos.com/ In 15 minutes the train will whisk you to the beautiful coastal town of Antibes, which can easily be explored in a couple of hours and still leave time to get back to Nice for dinner. Antibes was once a fortified village, like most of the other old towns in the south of France, with the original wall running along the shore. As you walk to the Old Town you will notice an ancient fort in the harbor. It looks like it is on an island but actually is on a peninsula. Antibes seems like it is an island because it is on a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides. Walk straight out of the train station two blocks on Avenue de la Libération to the marina and continue along Avenue de Verdun past the marina to a gate in the city wall that will lead you into the Old To...

Travel video about destination Nice in France. Nice is the Côte d'Azur's fascinating and colorful city located on the curve of Angel Bay, a metropolis that has lost little of its turn of the century charm. It is also a place of contrast with all the pulsating life of an international city mixed with the rich Mediterranean flair of the south. The magnificent Promenade Des Anglais was named after the resort's former large contingent of English visitors and was built during the 19th century. The historical centre of the city, Vielle Ville, has become the home of Arabian immigrants, thus couscous features prominently on the menu. The old fish market is the most beautiful on the entire Côte d'Azur and its traditional displays of seafood are a feast to the eye. The Russian Tsars also spent mu...
