Fatal smash between road train and car north of Port Wakefield
A TEENAGER has died after her car collided with a road train about 5km north of Port Wakefield on Tuesday afternoon.
Police and emergency services are still at the scene of the accident, which occurred about 4pm at the intersection of the Copper Coast Hwy and the Augusta Hwy.
The woman, an 18-year-old from Walkley Heights, died at the scene.
Police have since reopened the intersection after investigators from Major Crash spent several hours examining the scene.
The woman’s death takes SA’s road toll to 22, compared with 27 at the same time last year.
