In this vlog Carter Sharer and I (Stephen Sharer) decided to make a fidget spinner out of nothing but Legos. So Carter and I went to the basement and pulled out our box of Legos. We decided to have a Lego build off competition. Carter went first and I went second. Carter created his Lego fidget spinner entirely out of Legos. His was very easy and simple to build because he used nothing but Legos. He only used a few simple Lego bricks to make his fidget spinner. Once he finished he gave it a fidget spinner spin test to see how well it worked. Then it was my turn to build a custom lego fidget spinner with Legos. I decided to build my custom spinner with a fidget spinner as the base. So I hot glued Lego bricks all over my fidget spinner. When it was all done I gave it a fidget spinner spin test. Watch the vlog and see who’s custom Lego spinner will spin the best. Comment #Lego and #FidgetSpinner if you built a lego fidget spinner!!

Lego
Lego (/ˈlɛɡoʊ/) is a line of plastic construction toys that are manufactured by The Lego Group, a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark. The company's flagship product, Lego, consists of colorful interlocking plastic bricks accompanying an array of gears, figurines called minifigures, and various other parts. Lego pieces can be assembled and connected in many ways, to construct objects such as vehicles, buildings, and working robots. Anything constructed can then be taken apart again, and the pieces used to make other objects.
The Lego Group began manufacturing the interlocking toy bricks in 1949. Since then a global Lego subculture has developed. Supporting movies, games, competitions, and six Legoland amusement parks have been developed under the brand. As of July 2015, 600 billion Lego parts had been produced.
In February 2015, Lego replaced Ferrari as Brand Finance's "world's most powerful brand".
History
The Lego Group began in the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen (1891–1958), a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, who began making wooden toys in 1932. In 1934, his company came to be called "Lego", derived from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means "play well". In 1947, Lego expanded to begin producing plastic toys. In 1949 Lego began producing, among other new products, an early version of the now familiar interlocking bricks, calling them "Automatic Binding Bricks". These bricks were based in part on the Kiddicraft Self-Locking Bricks, which were patented in the United Kingdom in 1939 and released in 1947. Lego modified the design of the Kiddicraft brick after examining a sample that they received from the supplier of an injection-molding machine that Lego purchased. The bricks, originally manufactured from cellulose acetate, were a development of the traditional stackable wooden blocks of the time.

In this vlog Carter Sharer and I (Stephen Sharer) decided to make a fidget spinner out of nothing but Legos. So Carter and I went to the basement and pulled out our box of Legos. We decided to have a Lego build off competition. Carter went first and I went second. Carter created his Lego fidget spinner entirely out of Legos. His was very easy and simple to build because he used nothing but Legos. He only used a few simple Lego bricks to make his fidget spinner. Once he finished he gave it a fidget spinner spin test to see how well it worked. Then it was my turn to build a custom lego fidget spinner with Legos. Thank you very much for interest in this lego effect shot. Breakdown was added. I'd like to be of help, even if it's only in a small way. BGM : "Ievan polkka" by HATSUNE MIKU. ----------------------------------------------------------- Done in Houdini, render with Mantra PBR. Comp in Nuke. Solution is simple. I converted pyro and water sim to polygon And I put uniform Gap points in polygon. Especially vdbvisualizetree node was very useful. And house, car, concert venue and ad-balloon's body are sketchup or LDD file format. these were used in houdini through 2 or 3 times converting format. Thanks for watching.

In this vlog Carter Sharer and I (Stephen Sharer) decided to make a fidget spinner out of nothing but Legos. So Carter and I went to the basement and pulled out our box of Legos. We decided to have a Lego build off competition. Carter went first and I went second. Carter created his Lego fidget spinner entirely out of Legos. His was very easy and simple to build because he used nothing but Legos. He only used a few simple Lego bricks to make his fidget spinner. Once he finished he gave it a fidget spinner spin test to see how well it worked. Then it was my turn to build a custom lego fidget spinner with Legos. I decided to build my custom spinner with a fidget spinner as the base. So I hot glued Lego bricks all over my fidget spinner. When it was all done I gave it a fidget spinner spin test. Watch the vlog and see who’s custom Lego spinner will spin the best. Comment #Lego and #FidgetSpinner if you built a lego fidget spinner!!

This is a short documentary about the LEGO Turing Machine built by Jeroen van den Bos and Davy Landman at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), Amsterdam (Netherlands). They built it for CWI's exposition "Turings Erfenis" in honor of the centenary of Alan Turing's birth on 23 June 1912.

Alan Turing was a brilliant mathematician who helped define the theoretical model of the computer as we know it today. He was a visionary, one of the few people of his time who recognized the role the computer would play for humanity.

LEGO 'Inception'
A parody of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’ (2010), an espionage science fiction film where main commodity is information, taken by infiltrating the subconscious of human being. VFX students chosen the most interesting shots from the entire movie and recreated these in Lego. The project was entirely modeled in Maya, textures created in Photoshop, rendered in Mental Ray, post-production and editing was in After effects.
An academic team project, spanning 12 weeks, representing approx 1000 hours work. This project represented approx 120-160 hours per person, and one quarter of their final semester workload.

Solution is simple.
I converted pyro and water sim to polygon And I put uniform Gap points in polygon.
Especially vdbvisualizetree node was very useful.
And house, car, concert venue and ad-balloon's body are sketchup or LDD file format.
these were used in houdini through 2 or 3 times converting format.

In this vlog Carter Sharer and I (Stephen Sharer) decided to make a fidget spinner out of nothing but Legos. So Carter and I went to the basement and pulled out our box of Legos. We decided to have a Lego build off competition. Carter went first and I went second. Carter created his Lego fidget spinner entirely out of Legos. His was very easy and simple to build because he used nothing but Legos. He only used a few simple Lego bricks to make his fidget spinner. Once he finished he gave it a fidget spinner spin test to see how well it worked. Then it was my turn to build a custom lego fidget spinner with Legos. In this vlog Carter Sharer and I (Stephen Sharer) decided to make a fidget spinner out of nothing but Legos. So Carter and I went to the basement and pulled out our box of Legos. We decided to have a Lego build off competition. Carter went first and I went second. Carter created his Lego fidget spinner entirely out of Legos. His was very easy and simple to build because he used nothing but Legos. He only used a few simple Lego bricks to make his fidget spinner. Once he finished he gave it a fidget spinner spin test to see how well it worked. Then it was my turn to build a custom lego fidget spinner with Legos. I decided to build my custom spinner with a fidget spinner as the base. So I hot glued Lego bricks all over my fidget spinner. When it was all done I gave it a fidget spinner spin test. An academic team project, spanning 12 weeks, representing approx 1000 hours work. This project represented approx 120-160 hours per person, and one quarter of their final semester workload.

Done in Houdini, render with Mantra PBR. Comp in Nuke.
Solution is simple.
I converted pyro and water sim to polygon And I put uniform Gap points in polygon.
Especially vdbvisualizetree node was very useful.
And house, car, concert venue and ad-balloon's body are sketchup or LDD file format.
these were used in houdini through 2 or 3 times converting format.
