12/14/16 - One vehicle slide off hit a Comcast box in Indianapolis. Comcast repair trucks parked on the road and placed 4-5 cones at the bottom of the hill they were working at. This caused 5 slide offs. I personally warned another arriving Comcast truck of the slide offs and danger of parking at the bottom of the hill. He blew me of because he "had a job to do". Minutes later there was a crash because of the blocked lane. Multiple people were placed in danger. Even after the accident happened in front of them, they continued to work not changing any of their "safety" procedures. They showed ZERO concern for the safety of people before or after the accidents.
People at the scene got out their own barriers and directed traffic while Comcast finished and left the scene.

Apparently comcast is getting into the mobile carrier game, and launching a new cell service to be called "Xfinity Mobile". It will have an unlimited data plan, as well as pay per gigabyte. However, it will actually be using Verizon's network, not their own cell network.
Also, YouTube TV has finally been released in five major cities in the USA. It includes unlimited DVR recording and online streaming of most cable channels.

I think everyone hates Comcast, and now you have yet another reason. They have implemented 1TB data caps in several new cities in 18 different states, and are trying to somehow play this off as a good thing. I've said before that I absolutely hate data caps, and internet service providers just use them to squeeze internet customers for as much money as they can. I expect Comcast / Xfinity will not stop here, but roll out internet data caps to even more cities just because they can. This is horrible for net neutrality.

12/14/16 - One vehicle slide off hit a Comcast box in Indianapolis. Comcast repair trucks parked on the road and placed 4-5 cones at the bottom of the hill they were working at. This caused 5 slide offs. I personally warned another arriving Comcast truck of the slide offs and danger of parking at the bottom of the hill. He blew me of because he "had a job to do". Minutes later there was a crash because of the blocked lane. Multiple people were placed in danger. They showed ZERO concern for the safety of people before or after the accidents. People at the scene got out their own barriers and directed traffic while Comcast finished and left the scene. The employees lack of respect seems to be indicative of the company's culture: it is not about the customer, it is about what Comcast wants. Comcast has also been in the news for its anti-union sentiment, lobbying, outrageous CEO pay and support for SOPA and PIPA, two bills that would allow Comcast to unfairly influence end-user connection speeds.

Apparently comcast is getting into the mobile carrier game, and launching a new cell service to be called "Xfinity Mobile". It will have an unlimited data plan, as well as pay per gigabyte. However, it will actually be using Verizon's network, not their own cell network.
Also, YouTube TV has finally been released in five major cities in the USA. It includes unlimited DVR recording and online streaming of most cable channels.

I think everyone hates Comcast, and now you have yet another reason. Despite neither company commenting officially on the deal, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is in talks with Comcast over a streaming TV service that would use an Apple set-top box. The deal would give Apple priority treatment for its content on Comcast's network.
On Monday's edition of Investor Beat, host Chris Hill and Motley Fool analysts Matt Argersinger and Taylor Muckerman discuss what each side would get out of the deal. While such an agreement would be a clear win for Apple, helping the company break into a space it has wanted to be in for years, the benefits aren't so clear for Comcast. The guys also discuss how the massive proposed deal for Comcast to buy Time Warner Cable plays into this arrangement, and just how likely that behemoth acquisition is to get past regulators.
Then, Matt and Taylor take a look at four stocks making moves on the market today. Bank of America was the number one traded stock on the NYSE today, after the bank received a downgrade from Atlantic Equities. Many investors are hoping to see a dividend increase from the bank following the banking stress test results later this week, but after the first round of stress test results didn't come out in Bank of America's favor nearly as strongly as many had hoped, the dividend raise may now be in question. Shares of Herbalife rose today after the company agreed to nominate three of Carl Icahn's designees to its board of directors. Microvision is up big today, after the tiny tech company announced a deal with UPS. And Pandora stock took a hit today, just two days after the Internet radio giant announced it would raise subscription fees due to the rising cost of music.
And finally, Taylor and Matt each discuss one stock they'll be watching closely this week. Taylor looks into Exxon Mobil in the wake of the oil spill in the Houston shipping channel, while Matt is keeping an eye on Bank of Internet, as its recent 20% sell-off could represent a very interesting buying opportunity for investors.

Comcast Xfinity's repair trucks may have caused multiple slide offs and collision.
12/14/16 - One vehicle slide off hit a Comcast box in Indianapolis. Comcast repair trucks parked on the road and placed 4-5 cones at the bottom of the hill they were working at. This caused 5 slide offs. I personally warned another arriving Comcast truck of the slide offs and danger of parking at the bottom of the hill. He blew me of because he "had a job to do". Minutes later there was a crash because of the blocked lane. Multiple people were placed in danger. Even after the accident happened in front of them, they continued to work not changing any of their "safety" procedures. They showed ZERO concern for the safety of people before or after the accidents. People at the scene got out their own barriers and directed traffic while Comcast finished and left the scene. Apparently comcast is getting into the mobile carrier game, and launching a new cell service to be called "Xfinity Mobile". It will have an unlimited data plan, as well as pay per gigabyte. However, it will actually be using Verizon's network, not their own cell network.
Also, YouTube TV has finally been released in five major cities in the USA. It includes unlimited DVR recording and online streaming of most cable channels.

I think everyone hates Comcast, and now you have yet another reason. They have implemented 1TB data caps in several new cities in 18 different states, and are trying to somehow play this off as a good thing. I've said before that I absolutely hate data caps, and internet service providers just use them to squeeze internet customers for as much money as they can. I expect Comcast / Xfinity will not stop here, but roll out internet data caps to even more cities just because they can. This is horrible for net neutrality.
