A TOY cars enthusiast has amassed the world’s most valuable Hot Wheels collection – worth over $1million. Extreme collector Bruce Pascal received his first Hot Wheels car at the age of seven and has been collecting ever since. The commercial real estate agent from the USA’s East Coast currently owns over 3500 of the miniature toy cars, including 175 unique prototypes that were never released to the public. His collection includes one of the world’s rarest Hot Wheels, a bright pink VW Beach Bomb Rear-Loader worth $150,000.

Sound of...
Sound of... is an annual BBC poll of music critics and industry figures to find the most promising new music talent. It was first conducted by the BBC News website in 2003, and is now widely covered by the corporation's online, radio and TV outlets, as well as other media. A 15-strong longlist is published each December, with a ranked shortlist and annual winner announced the following January.

Sound of 2009
More than 130 critics, editors and broadcasters took part in the Sound of 2009 survey, which was won by electro-pop singer Little Boots. For the first time, a longlist of 15 acts from the 2009 poll was published by the BBC on 5 December 2008. The other five acts on the longlist were The Big Pink, Frankmusik, Master Shortie, Mumford & Sons and The Temper Trap.
Sound of 2010
The longlist for the Sound of 2010 poll was revealed on 7 December 2009. The acts nominated were Daisy Dares You, Delphic, Devlin, The Drums, Everything Everything, Giggs, Gold Panda, Ellie Goulding, Hurts, Joy Orbison, Marina and the Diamonds, Owl City, Rox, Stornoway and Two Door Cinema Club. On 8 January 2010, Ellie Goulding was announced as the winner. She has since gone to reach No. 1 with her debut album Lights.

Alfonso Cuarón
Alfonso Cuarón Orozco (Spanish pronunciation: [alˈfonso kwaˈɾon]; born November 28, 1961) is a Mexican film director, screenwriter, producer and editor best known for his dramas A Little Princess (1995) and Y Tu Mamá También (2001), the fantasy film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), and science fiction thrillers Children of Men (2006) and Gravity (2013). Cuarón is the first Latin American director to win an AMPAS Award for Best Directing.
Most of his work has been praised by both audiences and critics, and has been nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Original Screenplay for Y Tu Mamá También, and both Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Film Editing for Children of Men. For Gravity, Cuarón received several major accolades for his achievement in direction, winning in the respective categories at the Academy Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, the BAFTA Awards and the Directors Guild of America; and in addition winning the BAFTA Award Best British Film and the Academy Award for Best Film Editing (shared with Mark Sanger). He has also been awarded the BAFTA Award for Best Film not in the English Language as one of the producers of Pan's Labyrinth (2006). In his films, Cuarón is known for his ground-breaking use in the technique of continuous uninterrupted shots.

Over the past few years I’ve collected a lot of time lapse and loved sharing it with you through my films “The Unseen Sea” and “Adrift”. “A Time Lapse Collection” is a medley of some of my favorite shots that didn’t make their way into either film. All of the footage was gathered on countless excursions into the Marin Headlands, the Berkeley Hills and a more recent trip to Dubai. While my two previous films focused more on the interaction of the fog, “A Time Lapse Collection” includes fast paced urban footage from San Francisco and Dubai. Lastly, I wanted to share some of the beautiful sunsets I’d captured, lighting up clouds in a vivid explosion of color. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did while shooting. Extreme collector Bruce Pascal received his first Hot Wheels car at the age of seven and has been collecting ever since. The commercial real estate agent from the USA’s East Coast currently owns over 3500 of the miniature toy cars, including 175 unique prototypes that were never released to the public. His collection includes one of the world’s rarest Hot Wheels, a bright pink VW Beach Bomb Rear-Loader worth $150,000.

Over the past few years I’ve collected a lot of time lapse and loved sharing it with you through my films “The Unseen Sea” and “Adrift”.
“A Time Lapse Collection” is a medley of some of my favorite shots that didn’t make their way into either film. All of the footage was gathered on countless excursions into the Marin Headlands, the Berkeley Hills and a more recent trip to Dubai.
While my two previous films focused more on the interaction of the fog, “A Time Lapse Collection” includes fast paced urban footage from San Francisco and Dubai. Lastly, I wanted to share some of the beautiful sunsets I’d captured, lighting up clouds in a vivid explosion of color.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did while shooting.

Academy Award® winners Sandra Bullock (“The Blind Side”) and George Clooney (“Syriana”) star in “Gravity,” a heart-pounding thriller that pulls you into the infinite and unforgiving realm of deep space. The film was directed by Oscar® nominee Alfonso Cuarón (“Children of Men”).
Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski (Clooney) in command. But on a seemingly routine mission, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left.

A Time Lapse Collection
Over the past few years I’ve collected a lot of time lapse and loved sharing it with you through my films “The Unseen Sea” and “Adrift”. “A Time Lapse Collection” is a medley of some of my favorite shots that didn’t make their way into either film. All of the footage was gathered on countless excursions into the Marin Headlands, the Berkeley Hills and a more recent trip to Dubai. While my two previous films focused more on the interaction of the fog, “A Time Lapse Collection” includes fast paced urban footage from San Francisco and Dubai. The commercial real estate agent from the USA’s East Coast currently owns over 3500 of the miniature toy cars, including 175 unique prototypes that were never released to the public. His collection includes one of the world’s rarest Hot Wheels, a bright pink VW Beach Bomb Rear-Loader worth $150,000.

Over the past few years I’ve collected a lot of time lapse and loved sharing it with you through my films “The Unseen Sea” and “Adrift”.
“A Time Lapse Collection” is a medley of some of my favorite shots that didn’t make their way into either film. All of the footage was gathered on countless excursions into the Marin Headlands, the Berkeley Hills and a more recent trip to Dubai.
While my two previous films focused more on the interaction of the fog, “A Time Lapse Collection” includes fast paced urban footage from San Francisco and Dubai. Lastly, I wanted to share some of the beautiful sunsets I’d captured, lighting up clouds in a vivid explosion of color.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did while shooting.

In this exclusive SoundWorks Collection profile we talk with Director Alfonso Cuarón and Re-recording Mixer Skip Lievsay about the sound teams work to create a dramatic sound scape to a dark and vast outer space environment.
Academy Award® winners Sandra Bullock (“The Blind Side”) and George Clooney (“Syriana”) star in “Gravity,” a heart-pounding thriller that pulls you into the infinite and unforgiving realm of deep space. The film was directed by Oscar® nominee Alfonso Cuarón (“Children of Men”).
Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski (Clooney) in command. But on a seemingly routine mission, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left.
But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
“Gravity” was written by Alfonso Cuarón & Jonás Cuarón, and produced by Alfonso Cuarón and David Heyman (the “Harry Potter” films). Chris deFaria, Nikki Penny and Stephen Jones served as executive producers.
The behind-the-scenes team includes multiple Oscar®-nominated director of photography Emmanuel Lubezki (“Children of Men,” “The New World”); production designer Andy Nicholson (art director “Alice in Wonderland”); editors Alfonso Cuarón and Mark Sanger (VFX editor “Children of Men”); and costume designer Jany Temime (the “Harry Potter” films). The visual effects were handled by Oscar®-nominated visual effects supervisor Tim Webber (“The Dark Knight”). The music was composed by Steven Price (“Attack the Block”).
