Three burgers in 20 minutes: could you do it?

Do you think you could do it?

RoyAl's Chicken & Burgers in Victoria Park and Perth Eating Challenges have teamed up to throw down the gauntlet- three 150 gram burgers in under 20 minutes for $40, and if you manage to conquer it you eat free.

The burger is named "The Old Dirty Bastard" by the restaurant. Could you do three of these?

While 150 grams doesn't sound intimidating at first, it's what's inside that counts.

Each grease-mountain contains triple beef, triple cheese, plus ketchup, mustard, onion and pickles all on a toasted brioche bun and a basket of fries.

RoyAl's Chicken & Burgers chef Alasdair Craigie said the event was born after local gym junkies wanted a challenge post-workout.

"It started with the guys from the Muscle Pit Gym wanting to do an in-house challenge," he said.

"So we opened it up to the public not really realising how much demand and interest we would get. So it's the first challenge we have put on at RoyAl's so it will be interesting to see how it pans out."

The restaurant has already been flooded with comments from punters who think they could give the challenge a red hot crack, but a Perth Eating Challenges spokesperson said the event was sure to be difficult for even the most seasoned of food challenge veterans.

The event will be held on Easter Monday at the RoyAl's Chicken & Burgers restaurant, and bookings are essential.
