A five-year-old boy has died in a freak accident at a rotating restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia.
Charles Holt suffered serious injuries at the Sun Dial restaurant when his head became lodged in about 13 centimetres of space between a table fixed to the slow-moving floor and a wall, police said.

Boy crushed at rotating Atlanta restaurant
A 5-year-old boy has died in a tragic accident at a rotating restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia.
Charles, from Charlotte, North Carolina, had wandered only about two metres from the family table when he got caught, local TV news affiliate WTSP reported.
The restaurant sits on the 72nd floor of the Westin Peachtree Plaza, and is a fixture of the Atlanta skyline.
When the boy became stuck, the restaurant's automatic systems stopped the floor's rotating motion and then employees dislodged him from the tight space, Atlanta police said in a statement.
But he was critically injured and died later at a hospita on Fridayl.
"The kid was just wandering as kids will do. Somehow he found himself in a critical situation where he's lodged in between the rotating floor and the wall," Warren Pickard, a spokesman for the Atlanta Police Department, told reporters on Saturday.
"We simply think he lost sight of his parents and panicked and found himself in that situation," Pickard was quoted on WTSP as saying.
"A small child don't know what to do in those moments, and it crushed his little small body."
Once aware of the situation, onlookers immediately tried to help, Pickard said.
"The amount of people who were helping was amazing," he said.
"They were moving furniture, they were pulling chairs - chairs that were bolted to the floor - they were pulling them up to try to get the child out."
The boy's death was ruled accidental and he was found to have suffered crushing injuries to his head and brain, police said.
A spokeswoman for the restaurant did not return a call or email seeking comment on Saturday. Sun Dial's website says it offers 360-degree views of the Atlanta area.
A representative for the business told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution it would be closed until further notice.
