After the success of Tim Minchin's hit musicals Matilda and Groundhog Day, another Australian is heading to Broadway.
Melburnian Eddie Perfect has revealed he will write a score for the much-anticipated Broadway adaption of Tim Burton's Beetlejuice.
Perfect is best-known for playing musician Mick Holland in Network Ten's drama Offspring. The Play School star also wrote the award-winning Shane Warne: The Musical, as well as standalone shows including Misanthropology.
A reading for the upcoming Broadway adaption has been pencilled in for May, according to Playbill. Alex Timbers is set to direct the musical.
Perfect's publicist confirmed his appointment but declined to comment further.
