You guys! Bimini is beautiful! I have never been anywhere like it. Today we went out onto the water for the first time! We took pictures, went swimming and snorkeling! We saw the SS Sapona shipwreck and had so much fun. I am here doing a photo-shoot with a magazine so there is a little behind the scenes footage for you too! Hope you enjoy! -ash

My first 4k video!
These shots were taken on multiple days in the Bimini Islands. I originally wanted to make a short film about the change happening in Bimini using these shots combined with ones of pollution and littering which has increased because of development and bad waste management practices.
I've had some trouble with customs and permits as far as using my drone to film but I'm hopeful that I will be able to continue this project and make a final video to help spread awareness about the changes that are happening in Bimini and show ways that visitors can help turn things around.

BIMINI, BAHAMAS
Took the FRS Ferry for a Day trip from Miami to Bimini Bahamas where we explored the island, went on jet skis, rented golf carts, looked for sharks, and ate conch salad.
We took a ferry from Miami to the Bahamas (Day trip). The trip lasted 8 hours and we had the time of our life. We rented golf carts and explored the entire island of North Bimini where we became friends with 4 other travelers from Australia and the Netherlands. We used a DJI PHANTOM 3 to capture awesome shots from the air. We stopped to have the best conch salad at Stuart's Conch. Top rated place on yelp! We proceeded to the north side of the island where we jet-skied with a drone and swam at the beach at the Hilton.

Bimini
Bimini /ˈbɪmᵻniː/ is the westernmost district of the Bahamas and comprises a chain of islands located about 53 miles (81 km) due east of Miami. Bimini is the closest point in the Bahamas to the mainland United States and approximately 137 miles (209 km) west-northwest of Nassau. The population is 2,008 as of the 2010 census.
Geography
Bimini has three islands, North Bimini, South Bimini, and East Bimini. The largest islands are North Bimini and South Bimini. The District of Bimini also includes Cay Sal Bank, more than 62 miles (100 km) further south, which is geographically not a part of the Bimini Islands but a separate unit. North Bimini is about seven miles (11 km) long and 700 feet (210 m) wide. Its main settlement is Alice Town, a collection of shops, restaurants, and bars on a road known as "The King's Highway". The second major road is called Queens Highway and runs almost the length of the island parallel to Kings Highway.
South Bimini houses an airstrip, South Bimini Airport, and offers a quiet alternative to the slow bustle of North Bimini. There is a small community of homes on South Bimini known as Port Royale. For many years, South Bimini tourists were limited to boaters because there were few accommodations other than private homes.

Took the FRS Ferry for a Day trip from Miami to Bimini Bahamas where we explored the island, went on jet skis, rented golf carts, looked for sharks, and ate conch salad.
We took a ferry from Miami to the Bahamas (Day trip). The trip lasted 8 hours and we had the time of our life. We rented golf carts and explored the entire island of North Bimini where we became friends with 4 other travelers from Australia and the Netherlands. We used a DJI PHANTOM 3 to capture awesome shots from the air. We stopped to have the best conch salad at Stuart's Conch. Top rated place on yelp! We proceeded to the north side of the island where we jet-skied with a drone and swam at the beach at the Hilton.

Bimini, Bahamas | The Experience
About a month ago I went to Bimini, Bahamas for break. This is one of the most interesting islands in the Bahamas because it's the last to be commercialized by tourists. The island has a population of around 2,000 people, most of whom use golf carts to travel. It was an eye-opening trip to an ever-changing, natural island life, which will most likely disappear in the next decade. Go experience this place if you get the chance. You guys! Bimini is beautiful! I have never been anywhere like it. Today we went out onto the water for the first time! We took pictures, went swimming and snorkeling! We saw the SS Sapona shipwreck and had so much fun. I am here doing a photo-shoot with a magazine so there is a little behind the scenes footage for you too! In July of 2015, my two sons and I towed our new Yamaha jet boat to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. We launched and met up with a great group of people from the JetBoaters.net group.
