Field Marshal Sir Patrick Grant, GCB GCMG (11 September 1804 – 28 March 1895) was a senior Indian Army officer. He fought at the Battle of Maharajpore during the Gwalior Campaign, at the Battle of Mudki, the Battle of Ferozeshah and the Battle of Sobraon during the First Anglo-Sikh War and at the Battle of Chillianwala and the Battle of Gujrat during the Second Anglo-Sikh War. During the Indian Mutiny, as acting Commander-in-Chief, India, he directed the operations against the mutineers, sending forces under Henry Havelock and James Outram for the relief of Cawnpore and Lucknow. He later became Governor of Malta.
Born the second son of Major John Grant of the 97th Regiment of Foot and Anna Trapaud Grant, Grant joined the Bengal Native Infantry as an ensign on 16 July 1820 and was promoted to lieutenant on 11 July 1823 and to captain on 14 May 1832. He became a brigade major in Oudh in 1834 and, having raised the Hariana Light Infantry in 1836, he became second assistant in the adjutant-general's department of the Bengal Presidency in 1838.
Hammond & Co. was a bespoke men's tailor and menswear line located in London.
Robert Hammond founded his tailoring business around 1776 and became a renowned London sporting tailor. The company continued to grow and became successful. It became tailors to aristocrats and monarchs, such as King Edward VII, King George V, Queen Victoria, the King of Belgium, the Emperor of Austria, the King of Spain and the King of Portugal. Other customers included Parisian couturier Paul Poiret and General John J. Pershing. It became a subsidiary of Norton & Sons.
In April 2013 it was announced that British fashion designer Patrick Grant would be relaunching Hammond & Co. as a diffusion line available exclusively at British clothing retailer Debenhams.

Savile Row (pronounced /ˌsævɪl ˈroʊ/) is a street in Mayfair, central London. Known principally for its traditional bespoke tailoring for men, the street has had a varied history that has included accommodating the headquarters of the Royal Geographical Society at 1 Savile Row, where significant British explorations to Africa and the South Pole were planned; and more recently, the Apple office of the Beatles at 3 Savile Row, where the band's final live performance was held on the roof of the building.
Originally named Savile Street, it was built between 1731 and 1735 as part of the development of the Burlington Estate. It was designed under the influence of Burlington's interpretation of Palladian architecture, known as "Burlingtonian". Henry Flitcroft, under the supervision of Daniel Garrett, appears to have been the main architect – though 1 and 22–23 Savile Row were designed by William Kent. Initially, the street was occupied mainly by military officers and their wives; later William Pitt the Younger and Irish-born playwright and MP, Richard Brinsley Sheridan were residents.
GQ (formerly Gentlemen's Quarterly) is an international monthly men's magazine based in New York City. The publication focuses on fashion, style, and culture for men, though articles on food, movies, fitness, sex, music, travel, sports, technology, and books are also featured.
Gentlemen's Quarterly was launched in 1931 in the United States as Apparel Arts. It was a men's fashion magazine for the clothing trade, aimed primarily at wholesale buyers and retail sellers. Initially it had a very limited print run and was aimed solely at industry insiders to enable them to give advice to their customers. The popularity of the magazine among retail customers, who often took the magazine from the retailers, spurred the creation of Esquire magazine in 1933.
Apparel Arts continued until 1957, when it was transformed into a quarterly magazine for men, which was published for many years by Esquire Inc. Apparel was dropped from the logo in 1958 with the spring issue after nine issues, and the name Gentlemen's Quarterly was established.

It was just one check. This got us thinking about scale and we worked with this fantastic mill called Johnson of Elgin and they took some really traditional patterns and blew them up and twisted them with colour, scale and texture." Patrick is a massive fan of eBay.co.uk: "I am an eBay fanatic, I'm slightly addicted to it -- there is so much about eBay that is part of my daily creative process" so we tracked him down to find out more about hi...
