Birmingham based producer Marc Spence gave us what one could only describe as Pandoras box. “Nasty” broke the TAB lab's studio monitors the day we heard it and “Stop Interrupting” still taunts our minds at night. Joking aside, this unique pair are some of the finest craft work we've had the pleasure of releasing.
Having caused a fair bit of fuss with our recent “Even More Selections” release, we felt we had a lot to live up to, but Marc's debut with us has arguably upped the game once more.

Anthony Nesty
Anthony Conrad Nesty (born November 25, 1967) is a former competition swimmer from Suriname who was an Olympic gold medalist in the 100-metre butterfly event in 1988.
Early years
Anthony Nesty was born in Trinidad in 1967, the youngest of five children in his family. Nesty's family migrated to Suriname when he was seven months old, and he started swimming at the age of 5. Nesty trained and competed in Suriname and the Caribbean through the beginning of his teenage years. After placing twenty-first in the 100-metre butterfly at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, Nesty erolled in The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida, a prep school with an athletic program known for training elite, world-class swimmers. While training under Bolles coach Gregg Troy, Nesty broke the prep school 100-yard butterfly record held by Pablo Morales. Breaking Morales's record was the beginning of prominent successes for Nesty. He graduated from the Bolles School in 1987.

El Oso
El Oso (Spanish for The Bear), released in 1998 (see 1998 in music), is the third and final album by the New York City band Soul Coughing. The disc is marked by a deep drum and bass influence. Before starting work on the album, the band toured with Full Cycle DJs Krust and Die (in fact, their band with Roni Size, Reprazent, won the Mercury Prize in 1997 and thus put the kibosh on a notion to have them produce)—and by a scattershot approach to production: Tchad Blake (Soul C's Ruby Vroom, Latin Playboys, Sheryl Crow), Pat Dillett (They Might Be Giants, Doveman, Mary J. Blige), and British drum and bass DJ Optical (Goldie, Grooverider, Ed Rush).
Artist Jim Woodring (Frank) drew the cartoon "monkey-bear" on the disc's cover.
The chorus of the song "$300" is a sample of a Chris Rock joke; singer Mike Doughty heard the joke which is backmasked on Rock's Roll with the New. Curious, Doughty recorded it into his ASR-10 sampler with the intention of simply reversing it and seeing what the joke was, and wrote the song around what he found there. The song was used in the House episode "The Softer Side" in 2009.

Eko Fresh
Ekrem Bora, better known as Eko Fresh and or Elektro Eko, is a German rapper of Turkish descent.
Biography
Early life
Bora was born in Cologne and grew up in Mönchengladbach, raised by his single mother, a postal worker. He began rapping at age 14 and eventually dropped out of school in tenth grade. Afterwards, he found work in a shoe store.
Wrestling
The German Stampede Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion based in Cologne, featured him. He had wrestling matches in promotional events including Night in Motion X, Southern Conflict II, X-Limits, Battlefield 2008 and Northern Night since 2007.
Kool Savas
A feud started in 2004 with his song "Die Abrechnung", where he criticised his former mentors Kool Savas, Optik Records, Bushido and Aggro Berlin. The song was controversial among the German rap scene and after its release, Eko Fresh engaged in conflicts with other rappers. Many rappers replied to "Die Abrechnung", including Illmatic with "4Eko" and Fler with "Hollywoodtürke". Rappers from Optik Records also reacted: Caput with "Ich geb n fuck" and Ercandize with "Verdanken".

Birmingham based producer Marc Spence gave us what one could only describe as Pandoras box. “Nasty” broke the TAB lab's studio monitors the day we heard it and “Stop Interrupting” still taunts our minds at night. Joking aside, this unique pair are some of the finest craft work we've had the pleasure of releasing.
Having caused a fair bit of fuss with our recent “Even More Selections” release, we felt we had a lot to live up to, but Marc's debut with us has arguably upped the game once more.

The best butterflyer in the world for the last 5-6 years was American Pablo Morales. But he shockingly failed to make the US team at the Olympic Trials. This left his teammate Matt Biondi in the favorite’s role in Seoul. Biondi was attempting to emulate Mark Spitz and win seven gold medals, but the night before this final, the 1988 Olympics had started poorly for him when he won “only” a bronze medal in the 200 free. In the butterfly final, Biondi went out ahead well ahead to the wall. He led the race until the last stroke, but as he neared the wall, he was between strokes and elected to kick in, only to be slightly farther out than he realized, and this allowed Suriname’s Anthony Nesty to pass him and win the gold medal by 1/100th of a second. He led the race until the last stroke, but as he neared the wall, he was between strokes and elected to kick in, only to be slightly farther out than he realized, and this allowed Suriname’s Anthony Nesty to pass him and win the gold medal by 1/100th of a second. Nesty was not unknown, having placed fourth at the 1986 World Championships, and winning gold at the 1987 Pan American Games, but this was an upset, and it was the first Olympic medal ever won for Suriname, and also made Nesty the first black swimmer to win an Olympic gold medal.
Nesty had trained and lived and went to college in the United States for several years. But he considered Suriname home and returned to a hero’s welcome, being showered with gifts.
