A 15-year-old boy is in an "extremely critical" condition after being shot in the head while lying in his bed in a south-west Sydney home on Friday.
Police are hunting for the gunman, who fled from the home in Moresby Avenue, Glenfield, after what has been described by police as an "execution-style" shooting.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Brett confirmed on Friday morning that the boy was shot as he lay in bed just after 6am.
His step-siblings, aged one and nine, his mother and his step-father were also present.
The family were sleeping in the two-storey brick home when the gunman kicked in the door.
The boy's mother confronted the gunman first but fled to a bedroom to hide after the gunman produced a pistol and shouted orders at her.
The gunman then walked to the 15-year-old boy's bedroom and shot him at point-blank range.
The teenager was found outside the home with critical injuries.Â
He was not conscious when he was taken to Westmead Hospital and he remains in an "extremely critical" condition, Mr Brett said.
Investigators believe it is a revenge attack linked to a homicide.Â
The family were not able to recognise the gunman as his face was obscured by some sort of covering.
He is described as being aged between 18 and 20, of thin build, and wearing grey tracksuit paints, a navy hooded jacket and white runners.
Police urge anyone who sees this man not to approach him but to call triple zero immediately.
A neighbour said she woke about 6am to see paramedics desperately working on the boy while loading him into an ambulance.Â
"I've never seen anything like it in this area," she said.Â
Forensic officers were combing through the home on Friday morning while police scoured the area for the gunman.Â

A man who lives two doors down said he woke to hear two gunshots. Â
"I thought it was someone loading a truck, you know, Good Friday or something," he said. "When I came outside I saw police and ambulance everywhere."
He said the family moved in to the rented property about two years ago. Police had attended the home twice in the past, he said.
The boy's mother was with her son in Westmead Hospital on Friday and was "extremely distressed," Mr Brett said.
The step-father has taken the two younger children to another location, he said.Â
A crime scene has been set up.
