Troy Graham

Troy Rolland Thompson (December 7, 1954 – March 7, 2002), was an American professional wrestler known as Dream Machine and Troy Graham.

Career

Thompson was discovered by Jimmy Hart and first came in to wrestling as Troy "The Hippie" Graham. During his initial career, he fulfilled the role of a heel.

Wrestling as the masked "Dream Machine," Thompson captured the AWA Southern Heavyweight Championship in 1981 after defeating Steve Keirn in the final bout of a one-night tournament. Promoter Eddie Marlin awarded the belt to Dream Machine and his manager Jimmy Hart during an episode of Championship Wrestling that aired soon after the tournament. Also in 1981, Thompson held the AWA Southern Tag Team Championship title while teamed with "Superstar" Bill Dundee. They were defeated by Kevin Sullivan and Wayne Farris during a televised match on May 2, 1981.

From 1982 to 1983, Thompson teamed with Porkchop Cash as The Bruise Brothers, as part of Hart's First Family stable. They defeated Dutch Mantell and Koko B. Ware for their first AWA Southern Tag Team Championship titles. They also went on to compete against the Rock and Roll Express, exchanging the Southern Tag Team Titles with them.

Dream Machine (film)

Dream Machine is a 1990 independent thriller, starring Corey Haim, Brittney Lewis and Randall England. The screenplay was written by Eric Hendershot and based on the old urban legend of a wife selling off a Porsche for a suspiciously low price to get revenge on a cheating husband. The film was released direct-to-video in 1990.

Plot

A suspicious Mrs. Chamberlain (Susan Seaforth Hayes) hires a private detective to spy on her husband. When she receives the confirmation later that night that her husband is with another woman, she proceeds to location.

Whilst she is on the way, Lance Harper (Randall England) murders the wealthy woman's husband, Jack Chamberlain (Jeremy Slate), who Harper was in various trouble with at the time. The body is stored in the trunk of his Porsche. Upon the arrival of Chamberlain's wife, who came to take back the Porsche, Harper disappears into the night, as Mrs. Chamberlain drives away, not knowing her cheating husband has been murdered and is in under the hood of the car she is driving.

Tristan

Tristan (Latin & Brythonic: Drustanus; Welsh: Trystan), also known as Tristram, is the male hero of the Arthurian Tristan and Iseult story. He was a Cornish knight of the Round Table. He is the son of Blancheflor and Rivalen (in later versions Isabelle and Meliodas), and the nephew of King Mark of Cornwall, sent to fetch Iseult back from Ireland to wed the king. However, he and Iseult accidentally consume a love potion while en route and fall helplessly in love. The pair undergo numerous trials that test their secret affair.

Tristan legend cycle

Tristan made his first medieval appearance in the twelfth century in Celtic mythology circulating in the north of France and the Kingdom of Brittany, which had close ancestral and cultural links with Cornwall by way of the ancient British kingdom of Dumnonia, as made clear in the story itself, and the closely related Cornish and Breton languages. Tristan (name)

Tristan or Tristram is a given name of Welsh origin. It originates from the Brythonic name Drust or Drustanus. It derives from a stem meaning "noise", seen in the modern Welsh noun trwst (plural trystau) and the verb trystio "to clatter". The name has also been interpreted as meaning "bold."

It became popularized through the character of Tristan, one of the Knights of the Round Table in Arthurian legend. The modern form is most likely influenced by the Latin root tristis (tant triste in the medieval French version of the myth), meaning "sad" or "sorrowful". The recent rise in the name Tristan is also attributed to a movie character of the same name played by actor Brad Pitt in the film Legends of the Fall.
