T Friday, 19 December 2014
Australia all out for 505. Australia lead by 98. Given the kind of position India were in after the first hour, the lower-order has batted brilliantly, and India's bowling has been dismal

Just when India thought that took control of the game they have yet another hurdle to overcome i.e. break the Nathan Lyon- Mitchell Starc partnership.
Ishant takes two wickets in four balls to put India in the driver's seat.
#INDvsAUS #AUSvIND @sakaltimes Good to see Ishant get johnson and smith in quick succession. Now wrap up quickly!
— rahul chandawarkar (@rchandawarkar) December 19, 2014
OUT! And that's a double whammy! Late bloom for India as Ishant Sharma strikes again to clean up Smith for 133. SPD Smith b I Sharma 133 off 191 balls
OUT! Ishant bowls it slant across Johnson as he goes after it, looking to drive away from his body, and edges it to glovesman Dhoni. No-ball is being checked for, but Ishant's foot is fine
MG Johnson c Dhoni b I Sharma 88 off 93 balls

80 overs-367/6. New ball has been taken. Australia trail by 41
Johnson- 75 off 72 balls, Smith- 118 off 126 balls

Outstanding century by Steve Smith. He scored his 2nd 100 in this series. A brilliant 100 on debut as captain.
Stev Smith with a century in his first test as captain. Leading from the front. #INDvsAUS

70.2 overs-319/6
Some really poor, short pitch bowling by India
Mitch Johnson smashes a 37-ball fifty.
This Mitchell Johnson quickfire 50 is as valuable as 3 wickets in an innings; could alter fate of the match. #INDvsAUS #Brisbane
— Aniruddha Guha (@AniGuha) December 19, 2014
By the way its gng...seems johnson will score century earlier than smith #INDvsAUS
— Budugu Sarika (@agrisarika) December 19, 2014
69 overs- 309/6
The last 10 balls have just been a flurry of runs for Johnson.
Is India letting this slip away from their hands as the Johnson-Smith partnership grows stronger and Australia trail by 99 runs.
Ashwin being introduced into the attack.
The first half hour was actually sustained aggressive bowling. This last half hour after haddin's wicket was mindless! #INDvsAUS
— Xplorer's (@hitchwriter) December 19, 2014
We saw some disciplined bowling from India. Bowling full and outside the off stump. Ishant Sharma has been very impressive this morning.
DRINKS BREAK

Indian bowlers hit top form after pitch assists seamers.
India continue to spring surprises in #tourthatmatters. 1st with their batting, now with accurate bouncers at the ribs. #INDvsAUS #cricket
— Kiran Nataraj (@kirannataraj) December 19, 2014
OUT! Varun Aaron bowls a brilliant, unplayable bouncer that Haddin could only tried to evade until he was unaware what would be in store for him. Aaron bowls well to get him OUT on the first ball after the break. The India's plan works, as Haddin got his hands in front of his face to shield himself and gifted a simple catch to Pujara at short leg. BJ Haddin c Pujara b Aaron 6 off 12 balls.
61 overs- 247/5. Oz trail by 161
DRINKS BREAK
59 overs- 243/5
Its a shaky and nervous start for Australia this morning, while India will be delighted with Ishant Sharma 's yet another brilliant spell after picking up a wicket in the first half hour. Ishant bowls a lot fuller and Haddin is struck low on the pad, seemingly drifted towards the leg side. Huge appeal, and Marais Erasmus seemed disinterested.
57 overs- 232/5
WICKET! What bowling by Ishant Sharma as he bowls an inswinger to Mitchell Marsh who gets fooled by the wonderful delivery! That is a super delivery! Marsh completely misjudged that one and left it only to repent after his off stump was castled by lovely bowling. They're checking for no-ball but he's fine. MR Marsh b I Sharma 11 off 34 balls.
Up early watching the cricket & have been rewarded with a great spell from Ishant & Varun. #Cricket #IndVsAus
