Belinda is an anthropologist who has previously worked in the academic and applied research industries.
After working for six years in the native title sector, around Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia, Belinda returned to university to complete her studies and graduated with a PhD in anthropology from The University of Sydney in 2014.
During the last two years Belinda has worked as a lecturer in anthropology at The University of Sydney, as well as a research consultant for Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) in central Australia. Belinda has joined the AIATSIS Research team to continue working with Indigenous Australian communities in producing constructive and collaborative research that bridges the academic and applied sectors.
Belinda’s current research interests include working with Indigenous youth on topics including: place-making, mobility, migration, as well as contemporary cultural identities and systems of land tenure.
