Alex Teixeira
Alex Teixeira Santos or simply Alex Teixeira (Brazilian Portuguese: [aˈlɛks te(j)ˈʃejɾɐ]; (born 6 January 1990) is a Brazilian attacking midfielder, who currently plays for Jiangsu Suning. He started his career with Vasco da Gama making his debut for the senior team at the age of 18, before moving to Shakhtar in November 2009. His debut for Shakhtar came on 20 March 2010. He has been capped at Under-17 and Under-20 level for Brazil. In February 2016, he transferred to Jiangsu Suning for a record Chinese transfer fee of €50 million.

Vasco de Gama
Early career
Teixeira started his career at Vasco da Gama, playing for the youth team from 1999 to 2007. He was promoted to the senior team for the 2008 season.
2008
Teixeira was promoted to the senior squad for the tour of Dubai in January 2008. On 11 May 2008 he made his league debut for the club, as a substitute, in a 1–0 defeat to Internacional at the age of 18. His first goal for the club came on 28 June 2008 when he scored a brace in a 4–2 victory over Ipatinga. On 22 August he netted the only goal in a 1–0 victory over Portuguesa. Vasco were relegated at the end of the season, finishing in 18th position with 40 points, finishing 4 points off safety.

Jiangsu Suning F.C.
Jiangsu Suning Football Club (simplified Chinese: 江苏苏宁; traditional Chinese: 江蘇蘇寧; pinyin: Jiāngsū Sūníng) is a professional football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team is based in Nanjing, Jiangsu and their home stadium is the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center that has a seating capacity of 61,443. Their current owners are the retailer Suning Commerce Group.
The team was originally founded in 1958 as Jiangsu Provincial Team while the current professional football club was established in March 1994. They were one of the founding members of the first fully professional top tier league in China, the 1994 Chinese Jia-A League season, however they faced relegation in that campaign. They have since gone on to win promotion back into the top tier at the end of the 2008 league season and achieved their best ever league finish when they ended up being runners-up in the 2012 season.

Glover Teixeira
Glover Lucas Teixeira (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈɡloveʁ tejˈʃejɾɐ]; born October 28, 1979) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and former member of the Brazilian National Wrestling Team, who currently competes in the Light Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He has also competed in the WEC, Impact FC, PFC, and Shooto. As of January 10, 2015, he is #5 in official UFC Light Heavyweight rankings and ranked the #7 Light Heavyweight in the world by Sherdog.
Background
Teixeira is originally from the rural community of Sobrália, Minas Gerais, Brazil. His neighborhood had no traffic signals, there was no electricity in many of the homes, and there was a single gas station. He moved to Danbury, Connecticut in 1999 to help support his family and quickly found a job in landscaping. It was there that he met his wife, Ingrid. After watching boxers such as Mike Tyson and the early mixed martial arts fighters such as Royce Gracie and Chuck Liddell compete, Teixeira decided that he wanted to follow the same path. He had never heard of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, but was able to find and watch videos of UFC 1 and UFC 2 which featured the legendary UFC Hall of Famer Royce Gracie. After working 10–12 hour days landscaping, Teixeira would then go train Brazilian jiu-jitsu at American Top Team Connecticut. John Hackleman had trained a fighter who fought Teixeira and was impressed by the young Brazilian. Hackleman invited Teixeira to his gym in California, The Pit, where Teixeira began training with UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell.
