The Masses was a graphically innovative magazine of socialist politics published monthly in the United States from 1911 until 1917, when federal prosecutors brought charges against its editors for conspiring to obstruct conscription. It was succeeded by The Liberator and then later The New Masses. It published reportage, fiction, poetry and art by the leading radicals of the time such as Max Eastman, John Reed, Dorothy Day, and Floyd Dell.
Piet Vlag, an eccentric socialist immigrant from the Netherlands, founded the magazine in 1911. Vlag’s dream of a co-operatively operated magazine never worked well, and after just a few issues, he left for Florida. His vision of an illustrated socialist monthly had, however, attracted a circle of young activists in Greenwich Village to The Masses that included visual artists from the Ashcan school like John French Sloan. These Greenwich Village artists and writers asked one of their own, Max Eastman (who was then studying for a doctorate under John Dewey at Columbia University), to edit their magazine. John Sloan, Art Young, Louis Untermeyer, and Inez Haynes Gillmore (among others) mailed a terse letter to Eastman in August 1912: “You are elected editor of The Masses. No pay.” In the first issue, Eastman wrote the following manifesto:
From Monument to Masses was a politically charged post-rock band which was founded in San Francisco in late 2000. They have released four albums to date, the latest full-length of which was released through Dim Mak on March 10, 2009. They played their final show on August 28, 2010 at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, California.
From Monument to Masses is an instrumental post-rock power trio composed of Francis Choung (drums, keys, programming), Sergio Robledo-Maderazo (bass, keys, samples), and Matthew Solberg (guitar, loops). From Monument To Masses is officially a "bi-coastal" band with two members living in the California Bay Area (Robledo-Maderazo, Solberg) and one residing in New York City (Choung). The band formed in 2000 in the San Francisco area, and eventually signed to Dim Mak Records in 2002. The band's first album, From Monument To Masses, was initially intended to be a demo recording to find a label; however, when Dim Mak's label owner Steve Aoki, who was also a long-time friend of Robledo-Maderazo from the Southern California Hardcore scene and his UCSB classmate, heard the recording, he signed the band and decided to release it as an eponymous debut LP.
The touch of death (or Death-point striking) refers to any martial arts technique reputed to kill using seemingly less than lethal force targeted at specific areas of the body.
The concept known as dim mak (simplified Chinese: 点脉; traditional Chinese: 點脈; pinyin: diǎnmài; Jyutping: dim2 mak6; literally: "press artery"), alternatively diǎnxué (simplified Chinese: 点穴; traditional Chinese: 點穴) traces its history to traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture. Tales of its use are often found in the Wuxia genre of Chinese martial arts fiction. Dim mak is depicted as a secret body of knowledge with techniques that attack pressure points and meridians, said to incapacitate or sometimes cause immediate or even delayed death to an opponent. Little scientific or historical evidence exists for the existence of a martial arts "touch of death", although mild trauma may cause disproportionately catastrophic consequences when applied to known pressure points under specific circumstances.
The concept known as vibrating palm originates with the Chinese martial arts Neijing ("internal") energy techniques that deal with the qi energy and the type of force (jin) used. It is depicted as "a technique that is part psychic and part vibratory, this energy is then focused into a wave".

Curtis Melvin has sought to cast light on the mysterious state of North Korea. From 2006 to 2009, he employed Google Earth to create "North Korea Uncovered," one of the most detailed maps of North Korea that has ever been available to the public. Melvin has gone on to help develop "38 North: DPRK Digital Atlas," which depicts thousands of buildings, monuments, missile-storage facilities, mass graves, secret labor camps, palaces, restaurants, tourist sites, main roads and even the entrance to the country's subterranean nuclear test base, the Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center. Mike King is a private investigative journalist and researcher based in the New York City. A 1987 graduate of Rutgers University, King's subsequent 27 year career in Marketing & Advertising has equipped him with a unique perspective when it comes to understanding how "public opinion" is scientifically manufactured. Mike has recently released three new books: “Planet Rothschild,” “Mein Side of the Story” and “Killing America.” Our discussion begins with the family the mainstream media never mentions – the Rothschilds. Mike asserts that this powerful Jewish banking dynasty has been at the core of the 250-year-old NWO drama, with big government involved as their ultimate customer. We speculate how and why the big shots behind this demagoguery are rarely every touched by the media, and we also...

Happy Annie wakes up scared
It's such a big day, she's unprepared
She wanted this since she was a girl
More than anything in the whole wide world
Forget your mom's white wedding dress
And play bride with the family pets
In her bedroom bells were ringing
Oh, she imagined everyone singing
But she never thought it's this way
'Cause she loved, she loved
She loved, she loved him
Look how she loves
Look how she loved him
Wake up Tommy, do you feel the pain
That you got inside?
Find your mommy, spread her legs
And climb back up inside
Boys who trap animals
Are animals themselves
So wake up Tommy, don't you know
That you're going to burn in hell?
But he never thought it's this way
'Cause he loved, he loved
He loved, he loved her
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
This is the truth
Try to find some youth
Watch it all go by
Happy Annie, so much pain
She can't break free from the chain
But she's thinking about what she never did
She want adventure but she loves her kids
Love with her man has slowly died
Don't talk about it, she prefers to lie
In her bedroom bells were ringing
Oh, she imagines everyone singing
Wake up Tommy, can you feel the pain
That you caused inside?
Look at mommy, as she finds
A place for her love to hide
Boys who trap animals
Are animals themselves
So set her free man, you will see
Dad, you'll be free as well
But they never thought it's this way
'Cause they loved, they loved
They loved, they loved
No, they never thought it's this way
'Cause they loved, they loved
For they loved, they loved
They loved us
