No reels in the lift - Belfast Premier Inn sign for Irish dancers

A Northern Ireland hotel has reminded Irish dancers of the potential risk of practicing their steps in a moving lift.

The Premier Inn, in Belfast, posted a light-hearted sign in one of its lifts saying: "We at Premier Inn understand how you need to practise constantly to perfect your skills.

"However if you dance in the lifts they will stop moving and you will be stuck here until we can get an engineer to come and rescue you."

It added: "P.S best of luck at the Waterfront."

The World Irish Dance Championships are being held at the city's Waterfront Hall, with some of the competitors staying at the hotel.

The sign was posted to Twitter by Lianne Reddy who tweeted that she "couldn't breathe with laughter".
