Argentina (i/ˌɑːrdʒənˈtiːnə/; Spanish: [aɾxenˈtina]), officially the Argentine Republic (Spanish: República Argentina), is a federal republic located in southeastern South America. Sharing the bulk of the Southern Cone with its neighbour Chile, it is bordered by Bolivia and Paraguay to the north; Brazil to the northeast; Uruguay and the South Atlantic Ocean to the east; Chile to the west and the Drake Passage to the south.
With a mainland area of 2,780,400 km2 (1,073,500 sq mi), Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, the second-largest in Latin America, and the largest Spanish-speaking one. Argentina claims sovereignty over part of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands (Spanish: Islas Malvinas), South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The country is subdivided into twenty-three provinces (Spanish: provincias, singular provincia) and one autonomous city (ciudad autónoma), Buenos Aires, which is the federal capital of the nation (Spanish: Capital Federal) as decided by Congress. The provinces and the capital have their own constitutions, but exist under a federal system.

Fabrizio, an old Mafia guy, returns to Romania with a view to making enough money to buy his place back into the Italian Family "La Mafia" after being banished from it. He tries to take over State's business in Romania and abroad, a situation that will give rise to a war between the families. In an attempt to help his father win the war, Gabriel offers to harm Fabrizio by seducing the two most important women in Fabrizio's life, his wife Romina and niece Carla. Amid the devastation, a cheap and enormously addictive drug called paco — a variation of crack made from cocaine residue, baking soda, and sometimes even crushed glass and rat poison — started to take hold, especially among young people in urban barrios. Today, 13 years after the crisis, Argentina's economy is once again in trouble, and the widespread abuse of paco continues. The town of Epecuen in Argentina was once a busy lakeside tourist resort. But in November 1985, after a succession of wet winters, the lake overflowed, breaking through the lake wall and into the town. Residents evacuated safely, but the town remained underwater for almost 30 years until the water evaporated. Now the ruins of the town have emerged and residents can walk around their former home again. Authors of the new book 'Grey Wolf: The Escape Of Adolf' believe evidence of the tyrant's suicide is flawed -- and that he actually escaped in 1945 to begin a new life with his wife, Eva Braun. Scientists have discovered a mysterious island in Argentina that rotates on its own axis. The landmass at the center of the island, is called ‘The Eye’. It is located in swampy marshes of ‘Parana Delta’ in Argentina’s north. Scientists say the island has existed since at least 2003. It’s around 118 meters in diameter, and sits on a pond of water, which is clear, cold and in deep contrast with its surrounding area. New findings suggest the circle not only rotates on its own axis but is also leaning in various sectors on the wall of the outer circle that contains it. Beef is an integral part of the Argentine identity, economy and way of life. Historically, Argentina has been one of the world’s largest producers and consumers of beef. Yet in recent years the country has slid down the list in terms of production. That’s something the new government aims to reverse with pro-agriculture economic policies and hopes that the lifting of United States import restrictions can help reactivate the industry. Correspondent Joel Richards examines the beef business of Argentina for “Americas Now.” From an upscale Buenos Aires steakhouse called “Steaks By Luis” where the perfect “asado” is made, to the grasslands of Sante Fe where cattle ranching farms retain tradition by being passed down through the generations, Joel travels the country to show us the importance ...

Chicagoans are no strangers to a juicy piece of meat. But with so many steak joints lining the city streets, it can be hard to choose which meaty morsel to chomp down on. Lucky for you, Chat Chow TV has zeroed in on your top contender, Chicago Cut Steakhouse in River North. Chicago Cut Managing Partner David Flom sat down with Chat Chow TV to explain how his labor of love came about. “I have always wanted to be in the restaurant business since I was about ten years old,” he told Chat Chow TV. “I would cook for my parent’s friends when they would come over to the house through my younger years.” Flom’s food career has since landed him gigs at some of Chicago’s great venues, like Gabriel’s and Rosebud, as well as stints at critically acclaimed Michael Mina in Las Vegas and San Francisco...

Argentina is one of the jewels in the Latin American crown. A vast country stretching 3,500 kilometres from the Bolivian border in the north to Ushuaia and the gateway to Antarctica in the south, it is a place that offers some of the most impressive natural wonders anywhere on earth. It has a world-class tourist infrastructure, with arguably the best cuisine on the continent, and it is safe. But its not just that that makes a trip to Argentina feel so special. The country simply has a redoubtable spirit unlike any other in the region, and nowhere is that more evident than in its lively capital, Buenos Aires. If Argentina is one of the jewels in the Latin American crown, so the cosmopolitan Buenos Aires is one of the standout cities of the continent. Many gateway cities are just that, and...
Travel video about destination Argentina. Argentina is the second largest country in South America and a captivating land of tango, adventure and breathtaking nature.Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and the most European city in South America with buildings that are reminiscent of bygone times. The mighty Plaza De Mayo is the historic heart of the city, along with the presidential palace, the Casa Rosada and the Catedral Metropolitana. Today the tango is performed in each corner of the city and in the nineteenth century poor immigrants from Italy and Spain settled in Buenos Aires. This explains the fiery temperament and deep melancholy that is expressed by the dances and is evident with each flick of the leg. In what was once the red light district with its whore houses of colourfu...
http://www.expedia.com/Buenos-Aires.d178242.Destination-Travel-Guides Named for good sailing winds, Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina, and home to nearly a quarter of the country’s two million residents. Come for the stunning European architecture, and stay for delicious cuts of meat, the city’s zest for soccer, and, of course, the tango. “The Paris of South America” boasts outstanding shopping and a friendly populace. A tour of Buenos Aires should cut through La Boca Harbor, where you’ll find numerous street vendors, restaurants, and street dancers willing to give you a spin. Wander down the streets to take in colorful artwork, and make a game out of asking the locals what neighborhood you should tour next. Here’s a hint: with so much to see, everyone will give you a different a...

On the Argentinean side, the scenic Road of the 7 Lakes takes you from San Martín de los Andes to Villa La Angostura and finally San Carlos de Bariloche, a popular ski resort on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. El Chaltén, in the southern Andes, is Argentina’s trekking capital. Trails lead to Laguna Capri, Fitz Roy Mountain and the fea...

Etiquette Tips, Buenos Aires - Argentina Travel Guide Eating in the streets not advisable and other etiquette tips for Buenos Aires. What are some of the local customs in Buenos Aires? Take a look! Kissing on the cheek is common, even when meeting someone for the first time. This goes for men as well. Do not be surprised to find Argentines standing close to you while having a conversation. Female visitors should not be surprised to get compliments on the street as it is very common and often harmless. Even though Argentines are super friendly, they like to meet in bars or cafes if they are the host. Argentines like to dress up. When headed out, be sure to dress smartly. Eating on the street, is not considered polite. Argentines start their evening later. Nine or later if you are going ...

When we presented the stunning short-film ‘Experience Imagination: In South America’ earlier this year, the response we received was overwhelming – they wanted more, and so did we. Fortunately for all of us, the talented filmmakers who brought us part one -- the first dose of their incredible experience on a 4-month journey through South America -- didn't make us wait too long for the second video. The new short-film, ‘In South America: Untamed Winds’ follows lifelong friends, and filmmakers, Vincent Urban, Clemens Krüger, and Stefan Templer on a four-month road trip through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and southern Brazil. Along the way, they witnessed the continent's natural beauty and were confronted with difficult weather conditions. “I hope a viewer is able to feel the time passing,...
Iguazú Falls is almost 2 miles wide and is not one, but an astonishing 275 waterfalls. Eighty percent of the falls lies in Argentina and twenty percent in Brazil, which is why the falls has two names: ‘Iguazú’ in Spanish and ‘Iguaçu’ in Portuguese. Follow the boardwalk trail through the jungle and stand on viewing platforms over the falls. Feel humbled by the power of the tumbling water mass below you. In the wet season, 450,000 cubic feet thunders over the combined falls each second! Enjoy a more serene frontal view of the falls from the viewing points in Brazil. From here, the river seems to drape itself over the edge like a curtain. Take a journey beneath the falls on a speedboat safari. If you’d rather stay dry, take a helicopter ride over the U-shaped series of falls to see how ...
In November, 2007, I traveled to South America where I visited Argentina and Chile. Watch as I go to Buenos Aires' massive San Telmo Fair, hit the city's nightlife, and fly over the Andes into Chile where I explore the capital, Santiago, and the Maipo Valley wine region.

This is hand held video footage mashed with still photographs from the "Marcha del Orgullo", in English, Pride March, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2007. There is no doubt that for anyone planning a visit to Argentina then the "Marcha del Orgullo" should be included on your itinerary. It is testament to the effectiveness of the Event that it was covered on the front pages of newspapers and on Television and reports suggested that approx 150,000 people participated! Anyone looking at this footage will see how truly diverse the participants in the parade were. My impression was that there was a real sense of community. Instead of brand name splinter groups competing for attention and membership there was evidence of a cohesive community on display and this clearly added to the feeling or atmo...
https://www.expedia.com/Mendoza-Wine-Region.d6054200.Destination-Travel-Guides ¡Bienvenidos a Mendoza!, the “The Land of Sun and Good Wine.” Located on an arid plateau, Mendoza was built on the irrigation channels, or “acequias,” that were originally dug by the indigenous Huarpe people. These waterways also feed snowmelt from the Andes to Mendoza's vineyards, which produce about the majority of Argentina’s wine today. Noteworthy Spanish colonial buildings in Mendoza include the Banco Hipotecario Nacional, the domed Espacio Contemporáneo de Arte, in a former bank, the monumental Teatro Independencia, and the central Basilica de San Francisco. As seen from above, Mendoza’s most central parks take on the shape of a dotted number five, like the on dice. The leafy Plaza Independencia, with ...
During my trip to South America in November, 2007, my first stop was in Argentina. In this video I visit the hip, young neighborhood of Soho Palermo, explore amazing Recolata Cemetary (where Eva Peron is buried), and stroll along Florida Avenue, the hub of Buenos Aires.
In part two I check out the famed Buenos Aires nightlife, visit the giant San Telmo Fair where tens of thousands of people converge every Sunday, and travel out of the city and through the Pampas to the small gaucho town of San Antonio de Areco.

A near four-week trip through Argentina compressed into 5 min 22 sec. Lots of trekking, lots of time on the bus and lots of memories. The bike sequences. I was bombing down the hills in Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi on a rental bike (whose brakes worked so so) holding my heavy D-SLR in one hand and hoping that I would not break anything (including myself). Some times one gets lucky and things work out. Music: To build a house - by Cinematic Orchestra To read more on this trip and my other trips: http://www.nwsummit.com/voyages/index.html

Ist es was wir denken
Oder ist es was wir sagen
Warum könnt ihr uns nicht leiden
Warum müssen wir euch ertragen
Warum könnt ihr nicht ruhig sein
Warum könnt ihr nicht schweigen
Warum müßt ihr immer wieder hetzen
Den Haß vorwärts treiben
Refrain:
