A rough week for newsreaders

Jessica Adamson makes an on-air gaffe while presenting for Seven News Adelaide, the same week Natasha Exelby makes national headlines for her slip-up on the ABC.

It's unclear what sparked the frustrated outburst, but having to drily deliver the line "And the Big Ben cover-up: why its famous bongs are about to fall silent" might have something to do with it.

Channel Seven did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

Adamson's on-air gaffe comes as ABC viewers, including Labor leader Bill Shorten, rallied behind presenter Natasha Exelby, who was reportedly stood down by the network over her viral 'daydream' blooper.

Fellow TV presenters and journalists, including Tracey Spicer and Ben Fordham, have also come out in support of Exelby, sharing their own live onscreen nightmares with the hashtag, #PutOutYourBloopers.
