Welcome to the Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art Task Force, a task force of WikiProject Philosophy and WikiProject Arts. The task force is a group of pages in the "Wikipedia" article namespace which are devoted to the management of a specific topic or family of topics within Wikipedia; and, simultaneously, a group of editors who use those pages to collaborate on encyclopedic work. It is not a place to write encyclopedia articles directly, but a resource to help coordinate and organize the writing and editing of those articles. This group focuses on articles in the field of Aesthetics.
Getting started
There are a few things you can do right now to get started helping the task force and the project.
Add {{User WP Aesthetics}} to your user page. It will automatically add you to Category:Aesthetics task force members. You may also choose to place the Aesthetics navigation banner on your user page as well by adding {{Aesthetics/Nav}}.
Scope and Goals
The current focus of the Aesthetics task force is to create a representative presence of philosophy of aesthetics on Wikipedia. Aesthetics is a large and complex field, especially since the boom of works in the 20th century. The vast amount of information is too much for one or two people to handle. The coordinative effort of all those willing to assist is needed.
This page is within the scope of WikiProject Philosophy, a collaborative effort to improve the coverage of content related to philosophy on Wikipedia.
