Awards at the Melbourne International Film Festival
MIFF currently has two categories of awards each year: MIFF Shorts Awards and the Audience Awards for most popular narrative feature and documentary as voted by our audience.

Shorts Awards
MIFF features one of the most highly regarded short film competitions in the Southern Hemisphere. In 2016 the eligible short films compete for a total cash prize pool of $42,000.
Audience Awards
Each year MIFF audiences have their say by rating films throughout the festival. At the end of the festival the Top Ten Feature Films and Top Ten Documentaries are then announced.
