In a brief statement posted on the internet, the Canadian actress Meghan Markel has announced that she is to discontinue her online blog The Tig.

Prince Harry condemns 'harassment' of girlfriend
'A line had been crossed', writes Prince Harry about press coverage of his new American girlfriend, actress Meghan Markle.
Ms Markle, who has been dating the prince for nearly a year, said it was time to "say goodbye" to the blog after three years.
She wrote: "What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You've made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy."
The 35-year-old reproduced the announcement on her Instagram page, and in the space of just 15 hours it had attracted more than 11,000 "likes".
Fans are interpreting the move as a precursor to an engagement announcement. Ms Markle is scheduled to start filming a new season of legal drama Suits this month for US television and there have been rumours it will be her last.
Though she lives in Toronto, Ms Markle has been staying with the prince in the grounds of Kensington Palace. They have enjoyed a string of dates including a reported night at the Natural History Museum. Before that, the couple went on a romantic weekend to Jamaica.
In one of her final blog posts last week, Ms Markle appeared to give an insight into her attitude, writing that "over-planning kills magic".
