Cliff Jones: It's A Wonderful Life Hardcover – 31 Oct. 2016
This is his story. How he rose through the ranks to play for his home town team, Swansea Town, as a 17 year old, his move to Tottenham Hotspur and development under the tutelage of Bill Nicholson, the famous 1960/61 Double, European success and his near move to Juventus.
Through it all he proudly represented Wales and played in the 1958 World Cup where an injury ravaged side lost to Brasil and a young Pele in the Quarter Finals.
Charming, engaging and always smiling, Cliff is still a wellrecognised figure at White Hart Lane where he works as an ambassador for the club.

Soon after I used to go to WHL on a Saturday to watch reserve games - yes, in the "old days" reserve matches were always at the stadium of the home team !!
Great days too - you could go anywhere in the stadium - up on the "shelf" - behind both goals - under the main stand - you could do laps of the stadium during half-time to keep warm !!
Cliff's book captures all those great days, and gives a fascinating insight into life at Tottenham - and his other clubs.
Couldn't put the book down !!
My only gripe is that Cliff didn't make mention of the fact that me and my mate Paul used to serve Mrs Jones in the Co-Op ;-)
......and when Cliff and his son Steve thrashed Paul and myself at tennis in Connaught Gardens - Cliff always was a WINNER !!
