Share a post on Google+

You can share posts to Collections, Communities, or people. When you share a post, people following you, or the Collection or Community you post to, can see it in their stream. Posts you share can also show up on your profile. The content you share publicly in Google+ is publicly searchable -- even if your Google profile isn't. The content that you share to specific circles or people is only searchable by the people it was shared with. There's no way to make the content you share not searchable.

People can connect with you by commenting on, resharing, or +1ing your posts.

Sharing a post with "Public"

When you post something publicly, what you post (including photos) can be seen by anyone, on or off Google services. Here are some examples:
  • People who've added you to their circles may see your post on their Google+ Home page.
  • Anyone can see your public posts on your profile.
  • Your publicly shared posts or photos may appear in Google search results and on other Google services. For example, if you share a photo with "Public" that has a location associated with it and that's in an album with the "Show location" option checked, it may be visible on other Google products and services. Learn how to manage your photos in Album Archive.

Note for G Suite Users

If the person in charge of your G Suite account (domain administrator) has turned on Google+ for your organization, you can share with people in your organization just as you'd share with your circles. You can also choose to share *only* within your organization.

When you share within your organization, what you posted will show on the home pages of people who have you in a circle. And anyone in your organization can see what you shared by looking at your profile. Learn more about sharing restrictions for G Suite users.

Note:

  • If you don't have an Internet connection, what you share won't be posted until you're connected again. Once you have Internet, the post will be automatically shared for you.
  • On Android devices, if you change your mind before reconnecting to the Internet, you can cancel your post by going to your device's notifications, taping the Google+ logo, and taping the cancel icon next to the post you want to cancel.
