According to the Kosovo HDR 20156, women’s labour market participation is the lowest in the region: 82% of working age women in Kosovo are neither employed nor looking for work. The report finds that women are particularly constrained by many barriers, including their traditional role as the primary caregiver in the family.

The time is now to resolve to clear away the barriers to gender equality in the world of work and all other spheres. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development urges that no one be left behind. That means leaving no woman behind – anywhere
