This week's challenge is the famous Big Texan challenge! Everyone and their grandmother seem to only know about this challenge. This was actually done on a whim on the way to Arizona/Vegas, but I decided it was worthing doing so I could actually tell people 'Yes, I have done the Big Texan!' If you somehow dont know what this challenge consist of its a large 72oz steak, baked potato, roll, a few shrimp, and a side salad. If you fail the challenge you must pay 72$ ( You pay this upfront, and they reimburse you upon completion). You have one hour to complete it, and are allowed (upon approval) to skip all the grissle.

Yesterday on The Alex Jones Show retired DHS officer and whistleblower Philip Haney explained why radical Islamic terrorists are falling through the cracks despite unprecedented government data-gathering.
Some targeted American cities are already being pushed over the edge. For example, Amarillo, Texas “ known as the Yellow Rose of Texas” one of the largest meat packing cities in the United States, home to the V-22 Osprey hybrid aircraft assembly plant, Food giant Cargill, and also home to Pantex, the only nuclear weapons assembly and disassembly plant in the United States has taken in over 1,000 middle eastern refugees already, the highest in the nation. But when you add refugees sent to Amarillo from countries outside the Middle East, The numbers skyrocket.
World Net Daily reports “Amarillo has received 5,251 foreign refugees since January 2002, according to the federal refugee database. That’s more than half of the nearly 8,000 refugees sent to Texas during that period. President Obama has increased the number of foreign refugees bound for American soil in fiscal 2016 to 85,000. That’s a 20 percent increase over the previous year, and 10,000 will come from the jihadist hotbed of Syria. Many of the community organizers have received training or consultation from David Lubell’s Welcoming America organization, which was started with seed money from billionaire George Soros."
Breitbart reported in January of 2016 "Amarillo Mayor Paul Harpole said “We’ve been a giving community, and it’s a huge disservice to bring in refugees in numbers that we’re not able to handle. We create small ghettos, a group of Somalis came in to say they had elected a mayor of their community,” he continued. “Then another faction claimed they had their own leader. We come to find out that rival tribes — slaves and masters — were being settled together.”

Amarillo, Texas
Amarillo (/ˌæməˈrɪloʊ/am-ə-RIL-o) is the fourteenth most populous city in the state of Texas, in the United States. It is also the largest city in the Texas Panhandle, and the seat of Potter County. A portion of the city extends into Randall County. The population was 190,695 at the 2010 census (105,486 in Potter County, and 85,209 in Randall). The Amarillo metropolitan area has an estimated population of 236,113 in four counties.
Amarillo, originally named Oneida, is situated in the Llano Estacado region. The availability of the railroad and freight service provided by the Fort Worth and Denver City Railroad contributed to the city's growth as a cattle marketing center in the late 19th century.
The city was once the self-proclaimed "Helium Capital of the World" for having one of the country's most productive helium fields. The city is also known as "The Yellow Rose of Texas" (as the city takes its name from the Spanish word for yellow), and most recently "Rotor City, USA" for its V-22 Osprey hybrid aircraft assembly plant. Amarillo operates one of the largest meat packing areas in the United States. Pantex, the only nuclear weapons assembly and disassembly facility in the country, is also a major employer. The location of this facility also gave rise to the nickname Bomb City. The attractions Cadillac Ranch and Big Texan Steak Ranch are located adjacent to Interstate 40. U.S. Highway 66 also passed through the city.

That’s more than half of the nearly 8,000 refugees sent to Texas during that period. President Obama has increased the number of foreign refugees bound for American soil in fiscal 2016 to 85,000. That’s a 20 percent increase over the previous year, and 10,000 will come from the jihadist hotbed of Syria. Many of the community organizers have received training or consultation from David Lubell’s Welcoming America organization, which was started with seed money from billionaire George Soros."
Breitbart reported in January of 2016 "Amarillo Mayor Paul Harpole said “We’ve been a giving community, and it’s a huge disservice to bring in refugees in numbers that we’re not able to handle. We create small ghettos, a group of Somalis came in to say they had elected a mayor of their community,” he continued. “Then another faction claimed they had their own leader. We come to find out that rival tribes — slaves and masters — were being settled together.”

The Buddhist Burmese Community of Amarillo Texas is a cultural bastion that adheres to ancient customs and traditions brought from Burma by political exiles and refugees who fled tyranny, torture and death by the hand of the Military Dictatorship. The community thrives within their culture and religion in spite of the fact their beloved homeland is thousands of miles away. And this story is about a thriving community that conquered the issues of assimilation and has excelled in 'The Yellow Rose of Texas'.
The Kathina Festival was held at the Jayasukha Meditation Center under the stewardship of Ashin Nanda Vamsa. Kathina. It is a time of giving and showing appreciation where the people bring gifts and robes to the monks. The ceremony is also a time of fellowship and feasting combined with traditional entertainment. I was fortunate to be invited to this hallowed event by my friend Kyaw Hein and frankly, I had a great time and enjoyed some of the finest Burmese cuisine I had ever eaten. It was heartening to note that Amarillo as a whole has embraced these humble and hard working people as members of their community proving that everything truly is bigger in Texas including their hearts.
What really impressed me about this cultural event was that the younger more Americanized folks were participating along side the older more traditional people in total harmony. The younger generation has embraced their culture, language and religion in such a way there is no question the spirit of Buddhism & Burma will continue to live and flourish for generations to come. The Buddhist Burmese religious & civil leaders have managed to build a healthy and thriving community that should be the envy of other communities that face divisions between generations.
Of course I must thank my interpreter, Madam Butterfly, who introduced me to Burma and her culturally diverse people. With her priceless assistant I managed to explore the Burmese culture where few have ever delved and in the process I also ate some real good food. Being the foodie that I am, I enjoyed every scrumptious moment. Exploring and experiencing the peaks and valleys of these refugee/political exiles has offered me greater insights on their epic human challenge and happily I must report that this journey to Amarillo Texas is one of the highlights of my Burmese experience, so far. But then again, I've had many richly rewarding experiences with these ancient culturally diverse people from the Far East.
In all fairness it must be noted the videos produced do not include all of the brilliant performances but rest assured the ones I did miss where just as vibrant, culturally rich and colorfully entertaining. In some way it was as if I was taken back in time when Burma was still the 'Land of Alaungpaya'. Within my tradition we believe everything comes in cycles and there is no question that one day Burma will regain her rightful place as the Asia's 'Jewel of the Orient'. 'The Yellow Rose of Texas' has been complemented with priceless glimmering emeralds, and they are the Burmese people.

Some targeted American cities are already being pushed over the edge. For example, Amarillo, Texas “ known as the Yellow Rose of Texas” one of the largest meat packing cities in the United States, home to the V-22 Osprey hybrid aircraft assembly plant, Food giant Cargill, and also home to Pantex, the only nuclear weapons assembly and disassembly plant in the United States has taken in over 1,000 middle eastern refugees already, the highest in the nation. But when you add refugees sent to Amarillo from countries outside the Middle East, The numbers skyrocket.
World Net Daily reports “Amarillo has received 5,251 foreign refugees since January 2002, according to the federal refugee database. That’s more than half of the nearly 8,000 refugees sent to Texas during that period. President Obama has increased the number of foreign refugees bound for American soil in fiscal 2016 to 85,000. That’s a 20 percent increase over the previous year, and 10,000 will come from the jihadist hotbed of Syria. Many of the community organizers have received training or consultation from David Lubell’s Welcoming America organization, which was started with seed money from billionaire George Soros."
Breitbart reported in January of 2016 "Amarillo Mayor Paul Harpole said “We’ve been a giving community, and it’s a huge disservice to bring in refugees in numbers that we’re not able to handle. We create small ghettos, a group of Somalis came in to say they had elected a mayor of their community,” he continued. “Then another faction claimed they had their own leader. We come to find out that rival tribes — slaves and masters — were being settled together.”

Dr. Wilksinon has earned both a dental degree and a medical degree at the University of Louisville and Texas Tech, respectively. He met Dr. Graves while at the University of Louisville, and their lasting friendship inspired him to move to Amarillo to start practicing at Amarillo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Wilkinson's patient philosophy is focused on patient safety and comfort, and he works hard to ensure every patient is always satisfied with treatment.
Dr. Atkins attended dental school at the University of Texas at San Antonio and attended medical school at Louisiana State University Shreveport Medical School. After earning his dental and medical degrees, he completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency, at which he trained alongside professional surgeons and anesthesiologists. Today we drove due east along route 40 from Albuquerque, NM toward Amarillo, TX. Along the way we stopped at the famous Cadillac Ranch. This is a spot in the middle of a corn field where they have stood up on end multiple old Cadillac’s that tourists spray paint and put their names on! Of course, being ultimate tourists, we did the same! In Amarillo, we stayed for 2 days to see some of the local sights. These included a great local car museum, an RV museum, a hotel shaped like a castle, and to play Frisbee Golf! The RV museum even had the 1948 red Gornike RV bus that was used in the recent movie RV with Robin Williams! They also had a 1970 Avion all aluminum Truck Camper! For dinner we just had to go to the famous Bix Texan Steak Ranch which was a short limo ride from the campground....

Cadillac Ranch off I-40 nr Amarillo Texas Travel Idea
Cadillac Ranch is an art installation outside of Amarillo, TX, Cadillac Ranch was created in 1974. Stanley Marsh 3, funded Cadillac Ranch, an art piece created by Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez and Doug Michels. A great travel idea is Cadillac Ranch on the Frontage Road along Interstate 40 just outside of Amarillo, Texas. Cadillac Ranch is not a ranch but a public art installation and sculpture in Amarillo, Texas, USA. It was created in 1974 by Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez and Doug Michels, who were a part of the art group Ant Farm. It consists of what were (when originally installed during 1974) either older running used or junk Cadillac automobiles, representing a number of evolutions of the car line (most notably the birth and death of the defining feature of mid twentieth century Cadillacs...
