The state of Veracruz is one of the states of Mexico whose residents have suffered through the disappearances of their relatives. Since December 2010, the local government has recorded more than 650 cases according to official figures from the National Public Security System [SNSP]. But in a state in which victims blame the authorities for their complicity, the testimonies of the bereaved women agree that the black figure of this terrible phenomenon, associated with organized crime, is very high.
The presence of Los
Zetas and its rivals, such as The Knights Templar Cartel and The Jalisco New
Generation Cartel have led to the murder of hundreds or thousands of people
whose bodies have been hidden in at least 144 illegal graves recorded by the
Attorney General of Mexico (PGR) between 2006 and 2013. Because of this, the magnitude of the crisis
that the state lives through could be worse than what we know so far.
Although the
disappearances have been counted from years ago, it wasn’t until 2016 when the
first public search brigades were organized in the state which soon found
dozens of clandestine graves in several cities in Veracruz.

the women who have been part of these committees to find out what their efforts
are in finding their missing relatives.
On December 1, 2016, Miguel
Ángel Yunes Linares (PAN) took office as the new governor of Veracruz, a state
marked by the economic crisis and corruption left by his predecessor, Javier
Duarte (PRI), who is currently a fugitive from the Mexican justice system.

ReplyDeleteThank you Valor and to all at bb working hard to get the news out there.

Corruption and greed, innocent lives slaughtered and tortured. Money is the fucking root of all evil, fucking disgusting what these politicians make the people go through. Just so at the end of the night they can sleep good knowing they made so much money? I'm not an extremely religious person, but what is this pig Duarte gonna do when he dies? He can't take the money or anything else he bought. Money is everything and nothing at the same time. Rest In Peace to all my beautiful Mexicans, the students and hard workers. God will judge these pigs, because a judge in court will never do.
ReplyDeleteDuarte and every other politican steal $ for their damn kids to be accepted into private colleges, they will secretly make a donation and their kids get accepted. I experienced this first hand at USC, all these rich kids are stupid and only graduate because of their last name.
DeleteMiguel angel yunes linares has received 250 million pesos to start running his state, and does not seem to remember anything about prosecuting javier duarte de ochoa, looks like the clandestine burial sites were just "discovered" for political purposes, and sure they are not all of them, but pemex will not be paying for their shit anymore, unless the foreign new owners gives them a few bread crumbs
ReplyDeleteHow the heck is this allowed to happen.
ReplyDeleteSo many questions and not enough answers.
Why are so many being kidnapped in this area? What, specifically, are the motives of the kidnappers?
DeleteMexico needs atheist, to many Catholic in the police if it was like America cop would have no problem to cap an azz. Just saying innocent lives matter to.
ReplyDeleteThis is not an excuse for why this is happening. But alot of these cartel guys and the use of drugs like crystal. Which has such a psychotic effect on the people using. Especially on the ones that are using it and are tweaking on violence, accounts for a huge part of all of this incredible violence. I mean it's sad. And I don't see any end in site for this. Just getting worse...I hope someday maybe these guys can just focus on smuggling drugs and stop killing their own people..
