An Indian secret agent comes to know that some terrorists are planning to release a deadly gas through the atmosphere that will annihilate anyone who inhales it, including plants and animals. His attempts to pass this information are successful, however, he himself is killed while doing so. The information reaches top authorities, who, after an urgent meeting, decide to assign this matter to their ace Agent 707, Inspector Rajesh. Rajesh is summoned and briefed about this mission, and he sets forth on his way. He meets with a gorgeous young woman named Rita, and both fall in love with each other. Thereafter no matter where Rajesh is, the terrorists seem to find that out, and Rajesh himself is on the run for his life, as well as the life of Rita. Destiny moulds its own way. When Thakur Mahendra Singh adopted a child his wife gave him the happy news that she is going to be a mother herself. The adopted sons father Badri, who was known as Thakurs faithfull servant, thought of murdering the newly born child. But his wife Ganga stopped him and ran away with the child. . Twenty five years passed away. But the sins of the father were not left unpunished. . It was on the steps of Bijlis Kotha, that a murder was commited. Rajkumar did not know how to dispose off the dead body. Badri, now a victoria driver, came to his rescue. He took away the dead body and placed it in a car parked at a lonely place. It was Varshas car. A happy go lucky girl, as she was, Varsha found the dead body. She was dumb founded and thought to inform the police. But a second thought came to her mind and she pulled the dead body up to the road and left it there. A constable, who saw all this informed the Police. Inspector Shyam came to investigate and was surprised to see his own beloved entangled in this case. But the duty of a Police Officer came forward Varsha was arrested and investigation went on . How Varsha was proved innocent ? How the criminals were punished ? How the Inspector solved the mystery ? This is what you will see in INSPECTOR.

This is the TV version of the Inspector short NAPOLEAN BLOWN-APARTE containing the original laugh track that aired on the inaugural season of THE PINK PANTHER SHOW (1969-1970). This version is one of the few laugh tracked versions readily available on U.S. DVD releases. Aside from an augmentation here or there from my extensive Douglass laugh track library, this one is all NBC-TV original. The gruff voice of the Commissioner is character actor Larry Storch (instead of Paul Frees), best known for his work on F TROOP.

Bhola (Rajesh Khanna), a young musician, leaves for the city to earn money for his sister Belu's (Kumari Naaz) marriage. This is the TV version of the Inspector short THE PIQUE POQUETTE OF PARIS containing the original laugh track that aired on the inaugural season of THE PINK PANTHER SHOW (1969-1970). This current soundtrack released made available by MGM has the laugh track considerably muted (the early 1980s WGN broadcast was louder). Instead of posting as is, I mixed in a better, louder version of each laugh as best possible without removing the originals.

Plot: Inspector Ranjit Singh lives a middle-classed lifestyle along with his wife, Laxmi, a son, Pappu, and daughter, Pinky. When the National Bank is broken into one night, he gives chase to the robbers, and shoots one of them dead. The dead robber's brother, Kundan, manages to get away with the loot, then tracks down Ranjit and his family, shoots at them, forcing their jeep to fall into the Narbada river, separating the entire family. Ranjit manages to rescue Laxmi, and then apprehends Kundan, has him tried in Court, and sentenced to jail for several years, but is unable to recover the stolen loot. Years later, Kundan gets discharged and is received by his nephew, Chaman. Ranjit is now the Inspector General of Police, and Laxmi still hopes to be reunited with her children. Pappu has been adopted by a bandit named Lakhan Singh, who re-names him Shambhu, and brings him up with his other son, Shankar. Pinky has been adopted by a widow, who has re-named her Sulakshana, who makes a living as a petty thief. Shankar and Shambhu, on the run from the Police, end up in Bombay, where they will be thrust into conflict with Kundan and Chaman on one hand, and Ranjit Singh on the other.

Destiny moulds its own way. When Thakur Mahendra Singh adopted a child his wife gave him the happy news that she is going to be a mother herself. The adopted sons father Badri, who was known as Thakurs faithfull servant, thought of murdering the newly born child. But his wife Ganga stopped him and ran away with the child. . Twenty five years passed away. But the sins of the father were not left unpunished. . It was on the steps of Bijlis Kotha, that a murder was commited. Rajkumar did not know how to dispose off the dead body. Badri, now a victoria driver, came to his rescue. He took away the dead body and placed it in a car parked at a lonely place. It was Varshas car. A happy go lucky girl, as she was, Varsha found the dead body. She was dumb founded and thought to inform the police. But a second thought came to her mind and she pulled the dead body up to the road and left it there. A constable, who saw all this informed the Police. Inspector Shyam came to investigate and was surprised to see his own beloved entangled in this case. But the duty of a Police Officer came forward Varsha was arrested and investigation went on . How Varsha was proved innocent ? How the criminals were punished ? How the Inspector solved the mystery ? This is what you will see in INSPECTOR.

This is the TV version of the Inspector short NAPOLEAN BLOWN-APARTE containing the original laugh track that aired on the inaugural season of THE PINK PANTHER SHOW (1969-1970). This version is one of the few laugh tracked versions readily available on U.S. DVD releases. Aside from an augmentation here or there from my extensive Douglass laugh track library, this one is all NBC-TV original. The gruff voice of the Commissioner is character actor Larry Storch (instead of Paul Frees), best known for his work on F TROOP.
All material is copyrighted and owned by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. I do not own any copyrights and there is no monetary gain to be had. Purely for viewing pleasure.

Bhola (Rajesh Khanna), a young musician, leaves for the city to earn money for his sister Belu's (Kumari Naaz) marriage. However, as soon as he enters the city, people around him identify him as Ranjit. When Ranjit meets Bhola, he decides to train the naive Bhola, to fool the Police. Inspector Pradhan (Vinod Khanna) sends an undercover cop Leena (Mumtaz) to apprehend Ranjit. But as fate would have it, Meena gets charmed by Bhola and they fall in love. Things go as planned for Inspector Pradhan and he entraps Ranjit. Now Pradhan must identify the real Ranjit and punish him. Watch out for the exciting climax.
