Train services have resumed on three key train lines, after lengthy peak-hour delays.
Trains on the Alamein, Belgrave and Lilydale lines were suspended between Burnley and Camberwell stations after an incident involving emergency services at Hawthorn station just after 2pm on Thursday.

Buses replaced trains between the two stations, causing lengthy delays for commuters.
The lines were re-opened about 5.30pm, but commuters heading home still experienced delays of up to an hour.
By 7.30pm, delays had reduced to 20 minutes, Public Transport Victoria said.
