A Current Affair offices raided by NSW police

Officers from New South Wales police have raided the Nine Network's A Current Affair's offices in Sydney.

The officers arrived on Thursday morning and asked staff to leave while they searched the premises for evidence.

It is not yet known exactly what law enforcement are searching for.

A NSW Police spokesman said: "Police have conducted inquiries at an office in Willoughby this morning. The investigation relates to a personal matter of an employee, and as inquiries continue, no further information is available."

Nine's news and current affairs director Darren Wick confirmed to staff that officers from the New South Wales police have been at the network's Willoughby offices this morning "investigating matters relating to a staff member at A Current Affair."

He stressed that the investigation "does not relate to the program or Nine."

He said the network was co-operating with the police.

"However, we are not in a position to comment any further as this is an ongoing investigation," he said in a note to staff sent out following the raid.

Media reports suggesting ACA executive producer Grant Williams' office was targeted were not correct. Instead officers used the office area as their base during the search as Williams is currently overseas.
