Dibakar Banerjee
Dibakar Banerjee (born 21 June 1969) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer and advertisement-filmmaker known for his work in Hindi films. Banerjee started his career in advertising, being a feature filmmaker, he still continues to be an ad-filmmaker. He also runs his own film production company, Dibakar Banerjee Productions, and is cited as one of the most influential filmmakers of Hindi cinema in recent times.
As a film maker, he is known for Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006), Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), both of which won National Film Award's. His next film was the experimental Love Sex aur Dhokha (2010). It was followed by the political drama Shanghai (2012) and Bombay Talkies (2013), which was made as a celebration of the centenary year of Indian cinema. In 2015, he directed Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!, a film based on the fictional character Byomkesh Bakshi.
Personal Life
Dibakar Banerjee was born and brought up at New Rohtak Road near Karol Bagh, in West Delhi, and studied at Bal Bharati Public School, Delhi. After finishing his schooling, he joined the National Institute of Design, at Ahmedabad to study visual communications and graphic design, but left it two and a half years later. Back in New Delhi, he worked briefly with audio-visual filmmaker Sam Mathews.

Komal Nahta
Komal Nahta is the editor and publisher of "Film Information" and a television show host. He is an anchor of the Trade show ETC Bollywood Business on the Bollywood TV channels ETC and Zee Cinema. He is in the advisory board of Cinema Capital and other top companies. He is the son of film producer Ramraj Nahata.
Career
His interviews are carried by CNBC, STAR, Zee, B4U, NDTV, Zoom and Doordarshan. He was also the Bollywood representative of the BBC for almost 10 years. The Asian Development bank(ADB) has appointed him advisor for its film financing division. He has recently launched a new tabloid called "The Film Street Journal".
On 26 April 2010, Nahta replaced Taran Adarsh as the host of ETC Bollywood Business on the Indian TV channels ETC (India) and Zee Cinema (UK). His show airs daily on weekdays at 8:30 pm in India and at 7:30 pm in the UK. On Mondays, the show is about the previous Friday's collections. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Nahta speaks to various artists from the film industry. Thursdays preview films releasing on Friday. On Fridays, Nahta reviews films released on that day. The show launched the first episode with Sajid Nadiadwala as the guest. He was also the Editor of Entertainment website koimoi.com.

Dibakar Cannot Return a joint award, should take back decision Savita Raj Hiremath
Savitaraj Hiremath, the producer of Dibakar Banerjee's directorial debut "Khosla Ka Ghosla", has criticised the filmmaker's decision to return the National Award for the film, saying he was desperate for media attention. Dibakar and nine other filmmakers returned their National Awards on October 28 to express solidarity with the agitating FTII students and protest against the growing instances of intolerance in the country. "Khosla Ka Ghosla" won the National Award for Best Feature Film (Hindi) in 2006. Savitaraj Hiremath said Dibakar has no right to return the award as it is not his personal honour but a recognition of the team behind the film. Savitaraj Hiremath, the producer of Dibakar Banerjee's directorial debut "Khosla Ka Ghosla", has criticised the filmmaker's decision to return the National Award for the film, saying he was desperate for media attention.
Dibakar and nine other filmmakers returned their National Awards on October 28 to express solidarity with the agitating FTII students and protest against the growing instances of intolerance in the country. "Khosla Ka Ghosla" won the National Award for Best Feature Film (Hindi) in 2006. Savitaraj Hiremath said Dibakar has no right to return the award as it is not his personal honour but a recognition of the team behind the film.
I am very hurt that my film has got involved in this controversy. Dibakar has no right to return the award because this award is not his. It is given for the film that includes everyone actors, producer. How can he return the award? He should have spoken to me before making a decision," Savitaraj Hiremath” told PTI. The producer does not think that Dibakar's decision is politically motivated but feels the director wanted to get some media attention for his latest production "Titli", which released this Friday.
"I don't think his decision is motivated by politics. Dibakar is a good soul. But there are other ways to protest too. It is very clear that he is trying to get media space for his film which has just released. He is desperate." When contacted, Dibakar said Savitaraj Hiremath was right to be upset with him but he maintained "somethings are bigger than a film." "It's a hurtful and disappointing decision for all of us. She's right to feel so. And my personal regrets to her for this. Yet something’s are bigger than a film," he said.
Besides "Khosla Ka Ghosla", Dibakar's second film "Oye Lucky Lucky Oye!" also bagged a National Award in the same category. Savitaraj Hiremath questioned the director's intention of choosing to return the National Award for her film and not the Disney-UTV produced comedy.
"Why didn't he return the National Award he got for 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!'? He should have, but he did not because that was a Disney film. He would not take a chance with them... He might work with them in the future.
"Just because I am an independent producer does not mean he can take me for a ride. I will talk to him at length. A closer meeting with him is required. I am making 'Khosla Ka Ghosla 2'. He is spoiling the brand I am trying to build." The filmmaker said she is going to write to the National Film Awards body about her disappointment.
