Now is not the time for Samuel to sit on his laurels and bask in the success of getting a promotion. With a large number of current family friends and not that many skills to gain, it's time for Samuel to work on the final promotion he's going to be getting. Playing the piano has had a secondary benefit on top of making filling his fun need that much easier; it might very well have been needed for the next promotion, saving us some time which means the friendships Samuel has won't deteriorate as much before he focuses on them. Once we get Samuel this last promotion, no longer will we need to chase gaining friends and learning new skills that aren't cooking, mechanical and creativity. The game opens up significantly at that point, but first we need to reach it. Gaining six family friends isn't impossible, but it'll be challenging but what's a game without challenge? The Sims deep down is a game that has many repetitive elements, especially when you're focused on one thing like promotions or going through Studio Town's fame system. Sorting out the cash flow of your sims gives you the freedom to do whatever you like without fear of going broke. Cheating is an option but we're not doing that in this let's play, no sir. It's time for the final push.
