Laura is a researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney. Laura's research focuses in the areas of urban sustainability, city resilience and social sustainability. With a background in urban planning and sustainability, Laura conducts research projects focused on improving the sustainability and liveability of our cities.

Laura has recently undertaken projects relating to the future of peri-urban agriculture in the Sydney Basin, the use of land-use planning mechanisms to improve uptake of active and public transport, and community perceptions of remediation technologies. She is currently undertaking a PhD looking into the impacts of public housing estate renewals and associated gentrification upon public housing tenants.
