Helle knives are hand made by craftsmen and can involve up to 45 manual steps to complete. This video documents Helle's use of wood and steel, the assembly, shaping, polishing and packaging of their knives, as well as the making and sewing of sheaths. Gwen Welles
Gwen Welles (March 4, 1951 – October 13, 1993) was an American actress.
Biography
Gwen Welles was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as Gwen Goldberg. She was the daughter of actress Rebecca Weis Welles (born 1928) and Barton Goldberg; her sisters were Elizabeth (Betsy) Goldberg Welles and Lori Yarum. Gwen graduated from University High School in Los Angeles, California and attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Welles was married to actor Harris Yulin in 1975.
Gwen Welles may be best remembered for her portrayal of talentless singer "Sueleen Gay", in Robert Altman's 1975 film Nashville, for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award, for Best Supporting Actress. Welles also appeared in several films directed by Henry Jaglom, including New Year's Day (1989) and Eating (1990).
She died in 1993 from anal cancer, aged 42. Her younger sister, Elizabeth (Betsy Goldberg Welles), died from colon cancer 10 years later. Donna Deitch directed a documentary about Welles' illness in 1992, which appeared at the 1998 Berlin Film Festival.

Les Stroud
Les Stroud (born October 20, 1961) is a Canadian survival expert, filmmaker and musician best known as the creator, writer, producer, director, cameraman and host of the television series Survivorman. After a short career behind the scenes in the music industry, Stroud became a full-time wilderness guide, survival instructor and musician based in Huntsville, Ontario. Stroud has produced survival-themed programming for The Outdoor Life Network, The Discovery Channel, The Science Channel, and YTV. The survival skills imparted from watching Stroud's television programs have been cited by several people as the reason they lived through harrowing wilderness ordeals.

Xavier Dolan
Xavier Dolan (born 20 March 1989), sometimes credited as Xavier Dolan-Tadros, is a Canadian actor and filmmaker.
Early life
Dolan was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is the son of Geneviève Dolan, a teacher, and Manuel Tadros, an Egyptian-born Canadian actor and singer with strong ties in the Quebecois entertainment industry. Dolan was a successful child actor.
Career
Early Work
Dolan attracted international attention with his first feature film, I Killed My Mother (J'ai tué ma mère), which he wrote, directed, produced and starred in, using funds from his extensive work as a child actor. The film premiered at the Director's Fortnight program of the 2009 Cannes Film Festival where it received an eight-minute standing ovation and won 3 awards— the Art Cinema Award, the SACD Prize for screenplay and the Prix Regards Jeunes — and built on its success by winning even more honours on the international festival circuit, including a Lumière Award, 4 Jutra Awards including Best Film, Best Screenplay and Most Successful Film Outside Québec, beating out Denis Villeneuve’s film Polytechnique (2009) in what was a deemed an "upset."

The Knife
The Knife was a Swedish electronic music duo from Gothenburg formed in 1999. The group consisted of siblings Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer, who together also run their own record company, Rabid Records. The group gained a large international following in response to their 2003 album Deep Cuts.
The duo's first tour took place in 2006, along with the release of their critically acclaimed album Silent Shout. They have won a number of Swedish Grammis, but refuse to attend awards ceremonies. They have appeared in public wearing Venetian masks. Andersson released a solo album under the name Fever Ray in 2009, while Olof Dreijer released several EPs as Oni Ayhun in late 2009 and early 2010. The Knife disbanded in November 2014 after playing the final dates of their Shaking the Habitual Tour.
History
Formed in Gothenburg in 1999, amidst the deterioration of Karin's former group Honey Is Cool, the group perhaps gained stronger international recognition when José González covered their song "Heartbeats" on his 2003 album, Veneer. The cover was used by Sony in a commercial for BRAVIA television sets, and released as a single in 2006. The group commented on this in a Dagens Nyheter article, claiming that Sony paid a large sum of money to use the song. Despite the group's anti-commercial views, they justified the transaction by citing their need for money to establish a record company.

A quick and basic look at the HELLE GT Knife (made in norway) This is an excellent knife I highly recommend. Perfect for basic camp chores, skinning game etc. It is more of a "forward heavy" blade as the curly birch handle is very light. While it can chop and baton, that is not what this Helle Gt majors in. Perfect for basic camp chores, skinning game etc. It is more of a "forward heavy" blade as the curly birch handle is very light. While it can chop and baton, that is not what this Helle Gt majors in. Perfect for basic camp chores, skinning game etc. It is more of a "forward heavy" blade as the curly birch handle is very light. While it can chop and baton, that is not what this Helle Gt majors in. Det Blå Herberg - et helle i nattekulden
Georgian er en af de fattige rumænere, der med løfte om guld og grønne skove er blevet lokket til Danmark. I håb om et bedre liv, efterlod han sine to børn hos hans forældre. Men efter en måneds arbejde i København blev han snydt for lønnen og stod på gaden. I oktober valgte han at tage til Aarhus, hvor han håbede på, at muligheden for arbejde var bedre. Det var det ikke, og i dag går han på gaden om dagen og tilbringer nætterne på Det Blå Herberg i Mindegade i Aarhus. Men han er ikke den eneste rumæner, der må overnatte på herberget, som i de kolde vintermåneder har været en helle i nattekulden for bl.a. mellen 15 og 20 rumænere, hvoraf de fleste ikke har den uddannelse, som kan skaffe dem det vigtige job.

Once again, I've put together a lengthy video here. I was hoping to do two separate videos, but I only had a short time to film the bits so I filmed both knives together and it turned out to just be easier on me to put them in one video.
This is not supposed to be a versus video, but I do make some comparisons between the two just for reference.

Quick personal thoughts on knife performance are listed below. They are not side-by-side references, but rather, references on the perceived performance of each knife based on a scale of 0-5, with five being the highest value. The exact values are somewhat arbitrary, but it allows me more specific comparisons has I encounter more knives. Again, these are my personal thoughts only.
HELLE GT
Initial Sharpness: 4.7
Slicing/Notching: 4.5
Shaving/Feathersticking: 4.5
Batoning: 3.2
Heavy Chopping: 2.4
Drilling: 3
Rust Resistance: 4.5
Sheath Design: 4
Fire Steel Sparks: 1.5 (very difficult with this soft steel, but it can do it)
Steel Durability: 3.6
Edge Retention: 3.5
Ease of Restoring Edge: 3.8 (with a flat stone and strops it's pretty good)
Value: 3.5 (paid $115 online)
Overall Rating: 3.6 (based on experience, not a mathematical average)
Brief conclusion on the GT:
The Helle GT is listed as a hunting knife on the Helle site, but that doesn't mean that it's razor-like scandi edge can't be at home in the bush. The esthetics are particularly striking, in my opinion, and despite it's size it's a joy to use even for more delicate tasks. General backpacking and camp chores are no problem for the GT, with it's only real shortcomings being batoning and sparking a ferro rod. The Helle can carry the burden of preparing fire tinder, but the spine of the knife might endure some dinting. As with the Laserstrike, you may have to resort to using the blade edge to start your fire if you run out of matches. Having said that, the GT is an admirable performer in most situations and for a stick tang knife I was surprised at its resilience under many conditions. Although it's not the first knife I'd grab for my deep woods excursions, it is fun to use nonetheless and can more than suffice in a family/weekend camping environment or any scenario that doesn't demand extensive wood prep. If you are an avid outdoorsman with lofty expectations, you might find that the GT comes up a bit short of the mark.

Brief conclusion on the Laserstike:
Though not a true "bushcraft style" knife, the ESEE Laserstrike does many outdoor and woodworking tasks exceptionally well. Batoning and mild to moderate chopping are strong points for the knife, but it's no slouch at subtle work like notching and slicing if the 1095 steel is modified with a convex edge. The handle is robust and strong and the forward finger groove makes for an exceptionally comfortable and stable grip. Clutching the knife deep on the handle for chopping is very good and the experience would be improved with a lanyard addition (hole provided). The ESEE is even more at home when considered as a "survival knife" with its only real pitfall (and arguably a major on at that) being the inability to throw sparks with a fire steel. One must use the blade or grind off some of the coating on the spine to do so. This seems rather ironic given that the knife comes with a fire steel and quick tinder built into the handle - another plus. Although it will suffice if the scenario presented itself, this will be a turn off for many outdoor enthusiasts. The knife does feature a socket in the handle for bow drill work, which is another nice feature. If you don't mind a heavier (14 oz.) blade and want a trusty companion that can take almost any task you throw at it then the Laserstrike should be on your short list.

Men efter en måneds arbejde i København blev han snydt for lønnen og stod på gaden. I oktober valgte han at tage til Aarhus, hvor han håbede på, at muligheden for arbejde var bedre. Det var det ikke, og i dag går han på gaden om dagen og tilbringer nætterne på Det Blå Herberg i Mindegade i Aarhus. Men han er ikke den eneste rumæner, der må overnatte på herberget, som i de kolde vintermåneder har været en helle i nattekulden for bl.a. mellen 15 og 20 rumænere, hvoraf de fleste ikke har den uddannelse, som kan skaffe dem det vigtige job.

Basic spinal series er en serie af øvelser, som styrker og smidiggør rygsøjlen.
Ondt i ryggen, er efterhånden blevet en folkesygdom, og hænger ofte sammen med forkerte arbejdsstillinger, en svag rygmuskulatur og spændinger som ikke biver afspændt. Denne serie af øvelser vil afhjælpe mange typiske spændinger i ryggen og går ind og aktiverer og styrker hele rygmuskulaturen.
For at forblive unge, må vi have en smidig rygsøjle. Rygsøjlen er en central del af vores nervesystem og er forbundet med hele vores velbefindende. Jo smidigere vi er i ryggen, jo lettere kan spinalvæskerne inde i rygsøjlen bevæge sig op og ned og cirkulere fra hjernen og tilbage igen. Det styrker også vores hukommelse.
Husk når du laver yoga, at det er dig, der passer på dig selv. Du skal selv lytte til din krop og dens begrænsninger og ikke gøre noget, som føles forkert eller giver skarp smerte. Hvis du er i tvivl om din helbredstilstand tillader dig at dyrke yoga, så tal med din praktiserende læge først.
Kundalini yoga som undervist af Yogi Bhajan er en sikker teknik, som stammer fra det antikke Indien, hvor kundalini yogaen traditionelt blevet leveret videre fra mester til elev. Først i 1960'erne da Yogi Bhajan drog til vesten for åbenlyst at undervise i Kundalini Yoga, blev det alle mands eje. Yogi Bhajan forudså, at vestens population ville få brug for kundalini yogaens redskaber, for at komme godt igennem overgangstiden fra fiskens- til vandbærerens tidsalder. Nu.
Det er en tid, hvor hele vores nervestystem er under meget stort pres, hvor vi påvirkes af store mængder information døgnet rundt, og hvor der stilles store krav til vores omstillighed og fleksibilitet. Det er en tid, hvor mange mennesker let bliver ofre for livsstilssygdomme, stress og psykisk sygdom som følge af et alt for stort pres på hele vores system.
