The role:

Reporting into the Head of Trade Marketing, the Marketing Executive will work in the Strategy team of ESI Media’s commercial department.

The Marketing Executive will be responsible for working in the marketing team to drive awareness of all of the ESI Media brands and the commercial solutions we can offer to advertisers, partners and media agencies through marketing communications and events.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with commercial and editorial stakeholders to create exciting marketing communications activities that inspire and excite our clients and agencies about our brands and our commercial offerings

Role:

ESI Media are recruiting for a junior trading role, supporting the trading teams.

Job Purpose:

To support the trading team maximise all revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

(Including but not limited to the following):

  • Booking on advertising campaigns both print and digital.
  • Liaising with production.
  • Reporting real time trading position to the heads of trading.
  • Speaking to the trading teams agency contacts when the trading teams are out of the office.

The Role:

To develop the ad hoc and contract syndication of content for new and existing clients on behalf of Independent Digital News & Media Ltd (IDNML) and Evening Standard Limited (ESL). To recognise potential new business and act as an ambassador for content from The Independent and Evening Standard.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the ad hoc and contract sales processes, ensuring an efficient, professional and responsive service is offered to all existing and new clients. This will include organising and contributing to continuous daytime cover for ad hoc phone and email requests.
  • Proactively identifying and pursuing new syndication markets under the guidance of the Content Sales Manager.
  • Identifying development potential in existing accounts by studying current client spend; identifying and evaluating additional needs for up-sell potential.
  • Initiating sales process by building relationships and qualifying potential while forging strong, lasting relationships with key clients.
  • Leading the acquisition of corporate and academic subscriptions to the Independent Daily Edition.
  • Keeping accurate and clear records of sales as well as account plans for clients and regular ad hoc clients.
  • Assisting the Content Sales Manager in managing and growing all syndication points of sale (e.g. highlights emails and syndication interface).
  • Working with the rest of the Syndication team to support other licensing activities and to explore and take on new business opportunities that arise.

You will be the lead for the group on all recruitment matters ensuring that the most appropriate and cost effective tools are used. You will have HR generalist responsibility for a range of business areas, covering the full employee lifecycle. This will include case and absence management, coach and mentor line managers in employment law matters, deliver in-house training on the employee lifecycle and assist with and where appropriate lead HR projects.

Job purpose

To ensure that managers and employees receive effective generalist support on a wealth of matters, from day-to-day enquiries to international placements and case management. The role is varied, from supporting the team managing our drivers, to queries from the US, to advice on absence management, working on projects, managing a range of administration tasks and meeting forever changing deadlines.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities – what is delivered

  • You will have a range of areas in the business you support as well as providing pan-group advice on international matters,
  • Providing first line advice and resolution of queries to managers and employees.
  • Ensure that all employees on temporary placement outside of the UK have the correct paperwork prior to their placement commencing and act as first point of contact for them during their placement.
