$500 gift cards are awarded to the winners in each division.
An additional bonus prize valued at $1000 will be awarded to a student who has already begun to make their ideas come to life.
The bonus prize has been generously donated by VU’s Entrepreneur in Residence Gus Balbontin (of the VU Hanger).
Previous winners
In 2017, nearly 300 business students from 34 schools across Victoria competed.
Winning business or social enterprise ideas included:
- translator watch
- vegan food vending machine
- artificial year-round outdoor ski slope created with innovative snow technology
- drive through supermarket
- ‘pay it forward’ restaurant where patrons could pre-purchase a meal for someone in need.
