Cable television is a system of delivering television programming to paying subscribers via radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted through coaxial cables or light pulses through fiber-optic cables. This contrasts with broadcast television, in which the television signal is transmitted over the air by radio waves and received by a television antenna attached to the television. FM radio programming, high-speed Internet, telephone service, and similar non-television services may also be provided through these cables.
A cable channel (sometimes known as a cable network) is a television network available via cable television. When available through satellite television, including direct broadcast satellite providers such as DirecTV, Dish Network and BSkyB, as well as via IPTV, it is referred to as a satellite channel. Alternative terms include non-broadcast channel or programming service, the latter being mainly used in legal contexts. Examples of cable/satellite channels/cable networks available in many countries are HBO, MTV, Cartoon Network, E!, Eurosport and CNN International.
Networking and networking may refer to:
Category 6 cable, commonly referred to as Cat 6, is a standardized twisted pair cable for Gigabit Ethernet and other network physical layers that is backward compatible with the Category 5/5e and Category 3 cable standards. Compared with Cat 5 and Cat 5e, Cat 6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise. The cable standard provides performance of up to 250 MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T/1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet), and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet).
Whereas Category 6 cable has a reduced maximum length when used for 10GBASE-T, Category 6A cable (or Augmented Category 6) is characterized to 500 MHz and has improved alien crosstalk characteristics, allowing 10GBASE-T to be run for the same 100 meter distance as previous Ethernet variants.
Category 6 cable can be identified by the printing on the side of the cable sheath.
Cat 6 patch cables are normally terminated in 8P8C modular connectors. If Cat 6 rated patch cables, jacks and connectors are not used with Cat 6 wiring, overall performance is degraded and will not meet Cat 6 performance specifications.
Structured cabling is building or campus telecommunications cabling infrastructure that consists of a number of standardized smaller elements (hence structured) called subsystems.
Structured cabling falls into six subsystems:
Station identification (ident, network ID or channel ID) is the practice of radio or television stations or networks identifying themselves on-air, typically by means of a call sign or brand name (sometimes known, particularly in the United States, as a "sounder" or "stinger", more generally as a station or network ID). This may be to satisfy requirements of licensing authorities, a form of branding or a combination of both. As such, it is closely related to production logos used in television and cinema, alike.
Station identification used to be done regularly by an announcer at the halfway point during the presentation of a television program, or in between programs.
Idents are known as a montage in Thailand, and as an interlude in Cambodia and Vietnam.
Station IDs in the Philippines differ from the original concept. Instead of a way to identify television networks, these are presented in the form of music videos that represent the season in which the ident is aired during, which consist of tag-init (summer season), tag-ulan (rainy season), and Pasko (Christmas season). Station IDs in the Philippines runs for three to six minutes depending on the television station. The longest station ID is "Thank You Ang Babait Ninyo", which was used by ABS-CBN as a Christmas ID in 2014, lasting for ten minutes and 36 seconds. However, ABS-CBN, alongside some networks (i.e. UNTV, RPN, IBC, and PTV), also releases CGI-animated station IDs, not yearly but sporadically.

Why does SoftLayer use zip ties in our data centers? Don't we know that zip ties are evil?! What happens if a single cable needs to be replaced?!?! In this video, we document the process of how we restore physical connectivity when a network cable fails (which happens very rarely), and we show how long it takes to physically replace a network cable in one of our zip-tied bundles. For more information about why SoftLayer chose zip ties and whether that choice has ever affected the network performance of our servers, visit the SoftLayer Blog: http://sftlyr.com/35q http://www.softlayer...

A quick video to show how to install a new RJ45 connector on a CAT5/CAT5e Ethernet or network cable to make a new patch cord or repair a broken connector. All it takes is a little patience and a few tools. It pays to have the right tools to install the connector and test the cable afterwards. The cost of the tools can often be recovered after making or repairing just a few cables.

The new Coax Clarifier™ by T3 Innovation makes it simple and easy to discern the layout of a coax network, locate faults on individual cable runs, identify remotes through splitters, and determine cable run length. In addition, separate wiremapping sets allow a technician to map out the entire coax system and measure the quality and characterization of the overall network for carrying services, such as high grade video, surveillance data and HD programming. - Fast testing using multiple wiremapping remotes - Quickly discover coax system layout configuration to save time - All testing in one unit: Discovery, Quality and Condition - Clear concise measurement d...

For the first time in the history of Korea’s cable TV networks, the business channel targets viewers who are businessmen dreaming of success or envision such businessmen. To this end, we aim at incorporating the qualities of their desire such as luxury, stability, and conservativeness. Taking into account the special circumstance of the launching, the channel’s characteristics are incorporated by featuring live actions of elements and items that often appear in a business setting to make a direct appeal to the target viewers. Simple layouts and camera angles are used. In terms of the combination of the colors, a single color was chosen as a point within the calm combination of black and while, just like the role of necktie in a businessman’s suit. In order to emphasize their conservativ...
We created a 10 second network ID for the HUB Network, a kids' cable channel featuring popular animated characters like 'Transformers', 'My Little Pony', 'Super Hero Squad' and 'Pound Puppies' among many other new animated retro favorites and live action programming. For this project, Daily Planet handled the entire production, including boards, directing and shooting and post.
