A 16-year-old boy has died after a traffic crash in Kewdale on Saturday night.

Police say at around 10:05pm a silver Holden Commodore collided with a Mitsubishi airport shuttle bus, which rolled onto its side on impact.

The ABC reports that police are investigating whether the Commodore was involved in a police chase just prior to the crash.

There were no passengers in the bus but the 16-year-old, who was a passenger in the Holden, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The 46-year-old bus driver and the 19-year-old driver of the Holden both suffered injuries and were taken by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

The crash happened  at the intersection of Abernethy Road and Kewdale Road, and Major Crash investigators are seeking any witnesses who can help their investigation by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
