If you missed out on a block in the new Gungahlin suburb of Taylor in March – or are looking for something larger – you might be in luck.

The Land Development Agency has released more than 40 “premium blocks” in Throsby and Taylor for sale via auction at the end of April.

There will be 21 single residential blocks for sale in Taylor and another 22 in Throsby.

Blocks will be located next to parkland or open space and will vary from 405 square metres to 804 square metres.

Land Development Agency chief executive officer David Dawes said the premium blocks would be highly sought after.

“The location and size of these blocks will be very attractive to potential buyers,” he said.

“The Throsby blocks are ready to build on now and the Taylor blocks will be ready in the coming months.”

More than 2000 prospective buyers registered for a chance to buy one of 126 lots in Taylor in March.

The suburbs first standalone blocks, which were sold via a ballot, were snapped up in less than two days.

Block sizes varied from 250 to 587 square metres, with sales of $221,000 to $383,000.

Four multi-unit sites in Taylor and three multi-unit sites in Throsby will also be auctioned this month on April 27.

Tenders for another three multi-unit sites and two super lots in Taylor will close on April 11.

The latest house blocks on offer in Taylor and Throsby will be auctioned on Sunday, April 30 at Exhibition Park in Canberra.
