Jeep has revealed its latest collection of wildly modified concept cars created for its annual Easter Safari in the United States.
The American off-road brand has tuned, chopped and lifted an array of its vehicles, building a family of five concepts that stretches from a V8-powered hot rod to a boulder-climber and even a retro celebration of a 1990's icon.
The Easter Safari is an annual festival for Jeep enthusiasts based in the small town of Moab in southern Utah and utlising the hard-core off-roading environment of the surrounding canyon lands.
The most radical of this year's Easter treats is the Jeep Quicksand, a Wrangler that has had its chassis stretched, it's roof chopped and its suspension lowered while the engine bay has been crammed with a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 featuring eight individual throttle bodies and downturned exhaust extractors.
The hot rod theme is continued cleverly with a winch mounted inside a 'Moon tank' on the front bumper while a recovery strap is housed on the back bumper, appearing like a drag racer's parachute.
The Quicksand's minimalist interior features low-back bucket seats, aluminium panels and flip-down windscreen.
2017 Moab Easter Jeep Safari: Jeep Grand One concept
It's not the only concept car to take a step back in time. The Jeep Grand One celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Grand Cherokee with a modern spin on a classic 1993 ZJ model, which is powered by a 5.2-litre V8 and has a four-speed automatic.
In doing so, it features 18-inch lace-style alloys and a recreated body style while the inside showcases the 90's with period-inspired materials and gauges as well as an old-school car phone.
It can still go anywhere with a two-inch lift kit, locking front and rear differentials and 33-inch mud tyres.
But for those that really want to get off the beaten track, the Jeep Safari is designed to tackle the toughest off-road environments while providing its occupants with an almost uninterrupted view.
Based on the four-door Wrangler, it has a translucent roof panel and 'Windoors' made from aluminium and see-through vinyl while the rear bucket seats are rotated slightly outwards so passengers can see more of the road ahead.
The Safari also has a roof-mounted drone that is controlled from an iPad in the dashboard.
2017 Moab Easter Jeep Safari: Jeep Trailpass concept
The Jeep Trailpass is an extension of the new Compass mid-sized SUV that is due to arrive in Australian showrooms later this year. Based on the range-topping Tralhawk model, it is equipped with a host of official Mopar accessories as well as a 1.5-inch lift kit for extra ground clearance.
Similarly, the Switchback concept takes the Wrangler to the extreme, fitted with a host of Mopar four-wheel drive specific products such as toughened Dana44 axles, a four-inch lift kit with Fox shocks, heavy-duty bash plates and an axle-back exhaust as well as 37-inch tyres.
It also features see-through doors, LED lights and a front-mounted light bar and a house-out interior.
The nine-day Jeep Easter Safari will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year.

TRD and Tonka take note this what young men want to play with in their sand pit. Hot wheels will beat tepid any day.
