AFR MAGAZINE WINS BEST NEWSPAPER INSERTED MAGAZINE

November 14, 2014

The Australian Financial Review Magazine has won the award for the best newspaper inserted magazine (NIM) at the Australian Magazine Awards 2013, announced at a gala lunch in Sydney this afternoon.

The win comes in recognition of the AFR Magazine’s commitment to quality journalism, its ability to successfully engage with a premium and hard-to-reach business audience and outstanding results delivered for advertisers.

Commenting on the AFR Magazine’s win, editor Jeni Porter said: “The Australian Financial Review Magazine broke the mould when it was launched as a glossy magazine in The Australian Financial Review 18 years ago, and it continues to be the benchmark.

“While much has changed in the past 18 years – we have remained true to our founding principles which are combining style and substance and delivering our readers insights and entertainment across a broad sweep of subjects including business, luxury, politics and culture,” Porter said.

Fairfax is committed to the success of its Newspaper Magazines, amply demonstrated by the fact that Fairfax dominated the category in this year’s AMA Awards, with the publisher’s Good Weekend and BOSS titles also ranked as finalists.

“Fairfax has a very strong portfolio of Newspaper Magazines, reaching premium audiences like no other group in Australia and while we are thrilled to be celebrating the AFR Magazine’s win, congratulations are also due to the other Fairfax magazines nominated as finalists this year,” Porter said.
