THE 12 APOSTLES
The word disciple " refers to a "learner" or "follower" The word "apostle" refers to "one who is sent out" While Jesus was on earth, the 12 were called disciples. The 12 disciples followed Jesus Christ, learned from him, and were trained by him.
The names of the 12 are:
1. Simon Peter (brother of Andrew) - He was active in bringing people to Jesus - Bible writer
2. James (son of Zebedee & older brother of john) also called"James the greater" - Bible writer
3. John (son of Zebedee and brother of James) - Bible writer
4. Andrew (brother of SimonPeter) - He was active in bringing people to Jesus
5. Phillip of Bethsaida
6. Thomas (Didymus)
7. Bartholomew (Nathaniel) - He was one of the disciples to whom Jesus appeared at the Sea of Tiberias After his Resurrection. He was also a witnessof the Ascension
8. Mathew (Levi) of Capernaum
9. James (son of Alphaeus) also called"James the lesser" - Bible writer
10. Simon the Zealot (the Canaanite)
11. Thaddeus - Judas (Lebbaeus), brother of James the lesser and brother of Mathew (Levi) of Capernaum
12. Judas Iscariot the betrayer
ROCK
This translates the Greek word peʹtra (feminine gender), which designates a mass of rock (Mt 7:24, 25; 27:51, 60; Lu 6:48; 8:6, 13; Re 6:15, 16) and therefore differs from peʹtros (masculine gender and employed as a proper name, Peter), meaning “piece of rock.” This distinction makes it clear that, when saying to Peter, “You are Peter, and on this rock-mass I will build my congregation,” Jesus was not using synonymous terms. (Mt 16:18) Even in the Aramaic (Syriac) version the distinction is apparent from a difference in the gender of the particle preceding the word kiʼphaʼ, used for both “Peter” and “rock.” The masculine verbal pronoun (hu) precedes “Peter,” but “rock” is preceded by the feminine demonstrative adjective (hadeʼ).
That the apostles did not understand Jesus’ statement to signify that Peter was the rock-mass is evident from the fact that they later disputed about who seemed to be the greatest among them. (Mr 9:33-35; Lu 22:24-26) There would have been no basis for such disputing had Peter been given the primacy as the rock-mass on which the congregation was to be built. The Scriptures clearly show that as foundation stones, all the apostles are equal. All of them, including Peter, rest upon Christ Jesus as the foundation cornerstone. (Eph 2:19-22; Re 21:2, 9-14) Peter himself identified the rock-mass (peʹtra) on which the congregation is built as being Christ Jesus. (1Pe 2:4-8) Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote: “For they [the Israelites] used to drink from the spiritual rock-mass that followed them, and that rock-mass meant the Christ.” (1Co 10:4) On at least two occasions and in two different locations the Israelites received a miraculous provision of water from a rock-mass. (Ex 17:5-7; Nu 20:1-11) Therefore, the rock-mass as a source of water, in effect, followed them. The rock-mass itself was evidently a pictorial, or symbolic, type of Christ Jesus, who said to the Jews: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.”—Joh 7:37.
It is also of interest that Augustine (354-430 C.E.), usually referred to as “Saint Augustine,” at one time believed that Peter was the rock-mass but later changed his view. Lange’s Commentary on the Holy Scriptures (Mt 16:18, ftn, p. 296) quotes Augustine as saying: “The rock is not so named from Peter, but Peter from the rock (non enim a Petro petra, sed Petrus a petra), even as Christ is not so called after the Christian, but the Christian after Christ. For the reason why the Lord says, ‘On this rock I will build my church,’ is that Peter had said: ‘Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ On this rock, which thou hast confessed, says he, I will build my church. For Christ was the rock (petra enim erat Christus), upon which also Peter himself was built; for other foundation can no man lay, than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”—Translated and edited by P. Schaff, 1976.

As the Rome Italy Temple and visitors’ center advance toward completion, a major benchmark has occurred within the visitors’ center — the installation of the marble statue of the resurrected Christ. It is an exact replica of the original Christus statue produced by Bertel Thorvaldsen in Italy before its placement in Denmark in the early 1800s.
Also included in the Rome Temple Visitors’ Center are marble statue replicas of the original Twelve Apostles. The statues were digitally measured and fashioned to be precisely the same as the originals, and the marble was taken from the original Michelangelo cave in Carrera, Italy, before arriving in Rome.

End Times News: - This ministry was birthed in Oct 2014 following the leading of the Lord to bring sound teaching, particularly in regards to eschatology to a wider audience. The mandate of the ministry is fourfold.

Bio: Pastor D was brought up in a Christian household, and saved as a young man, he acknowledged the call of God upon his life at the age of 15 to teach the Word of God and to Pastor the flock. Subsequent years were a rollercoaster ride of faith vs flesh as the Romans 7 war played out, the heart wanting to serve the Lord, but the flesh manifesting the works of a rebellious teenager. Eventually after graduating school, he spent a year working as a youth worker in London with ‘Youth For Christ’, it was during this time that the Lord dealt deeply with the self-righteous, cocky, proud and rebellious heart, through much sorrow, the unexpected death of a close friend, the break-up of his family and the loneliness of living in a city where he knew nobody, the Lord stripped him bare of every comfort and prepared him to be released into ministry. He was trained in the Apostolic School of Ministry, in Bristol UK, (to where he returned for 3 years for this purpose) and ordained in the year 2000 and has since moved back to London where the End Times News Ministry is based. Until 30th November 2015 he supported himself by working as a Technical Officer for the local council, after losing this job due to the content of this channel, Pastor D now lives by faith. According to the Bible's New Testament, the apostles were the primary disciples of Jesus, the central figure in Christianity. During the life and ministry of Jesus in the first century AD, the apostles were his closest followers and became the primary teachers of the gospel message of Jesus. The word "disciple" is sometimes used interchangeably with "apostle" – for instance the Gospel of John makes no distinction between the two terms. In modern usage, prominent missionaries are identified as apostles – a practice which stems from the Latin equivalent of apostle, missio, the source of the English word "missionary".
While Christian tradition often refers to the apostles as being twelve in number, different gospel writers give different names for the same individual, and apostles mentioned in one gospel are not mentioned in another. The commissioning of the Twelve Apostles during the ministry of Jesus is recorded in the Synoptic Gospels. After his resurrection, Jesus sent eleven of them (minus Judas Iscariot, who by then had died) by the Great Commission to spread his teachings to all nations—an event referred to as the "Dispersion of the Apostles". There is also an Eastern Christian tradition derived from the Gospel of Luke of there being as many as Seventy Apostles during the time of Jesus' ministry. Prominent figures in early Christianity were often called apostles even though their ministry or mission came after the life of Jesus.

End time
The end time (also called end times, end of time, end of days, last days, final days, or eschaton) is a future time-period described variously in the eschatologies of several world religions (both Abrahamic and non-Abrahamic), where world events achieve a final climax.
The Abrahamic faiths maintain a linear cosmology, with end-time scenarios containing themes of transformation and redemption. In Judaism, the term "end of days" makes reference to the Messianic Age, and includes an in-gathering of the exiled Jewish diaspora, the coming of the Messiah, the resurrection of the righteous and the world to come. Some sects of Christianity depict the end time as a period of tribulation that precedes the second coming of Christ, who will face the Antichrist along with his power structure and usher in the Kingdom of God. However, other Christians believe that the end time represents the personal tribulation experienced before they become enlightened with the Word of God. In Islam, the Day of Judgement is preceded by the appearance of the Mahdi mounted on a white stallion. With the help of Isa (Jesus), the Mahdi will triumph over Masih ad-Dajjal (the false messiah).

Bible
The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, "the books") is a collection of texts sacred in Judaism and Christianity. It is a collection of scriptures written at different times by different authors in different locations. Jews and Christians consider the books of the Bible to be a product of divine inspiration or an authoritative record of the relationship between God and humans.
There is no single canonical "Bible"; many Bibles have evolved, with overlapping and diverging contents. The Christian Old Testament overlaps with the Hebrew Bible and the Greek Septuagint; the Hebrew Bible is known in Judaism as the Tanakh. The New Testament is a collection of writings by early Christians, consisting of narratives, letters and apocalyptic writings. Among Christian denominations there is some disagreement about the contents of the canon, primarily in the Apocrypha, a list of works that are regarded with varying levels of respect.
Attitudes towards the Bible also vary amongst Christian groups. Jesus
Jesus (/ˈdʒiːzəs/; Greek: Ἰησοῦς Iesous; 7–2 BC to AD 30–33), also referred to as Jesus of Nazareth or Jesus Christ, is the central figure of Christianity, whom the teachings of most Christian denominations hold to be the Son of God. Christians believe Jesus is the awaited Messiah (or Christ, the Anointed One) of the Old Testament.
Virtually all modern scholars of antiquity agree that Jesus existed historically, and historians consider the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) to be the best sources for investigating the historical Jesus. Most scholars agree that Jesus was a Galilean, Jewish rabbi who preached his message orally,was baptized by John the Baptist, and was crucified by the order of the Roman Prefect Pontius Pilate. In the current mainstream view, Jesus was an apocalyptic preacher and the founder of a renewal movement within Judaism, although some prominent scholars argue that he was not apocalyptic. After Jesus' death, his followers believed he was resurrected, and the community they formed eventually became the Christian church. The widely used calendar era, abbreviated as "AD" from the Latin "Anno Domini" ("in the year of our Lord") or sometimes as "CE", is based on the birth of Jesus. His birth is celebrated annually on December 25 as a holiday known as Christmas.

(Eph 2:19-22; Re 21:2, 9-14) Peter himself identified the rock-mass (peʹtra) on which the congregation is built as being Christ Jesus. (1Pe 2:4-8) Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote: “For they [the Israelites] used to drink from the spiritual rock-mass that followed them, and that rock-mass meant the Christ.” (1Co 10:4) On at least two occasions and in two different locations the Israelites received a miraculous provision of water from a rock-mass. (Ex 17:5-7; Nu 20:1-11) Therefore, the rock-mass as a source of water, in effect, followed them. The rock-mass itself was evidently a pictorial, or symbolic, type of Christ Jesus, who said to the Jews: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.”—Joh 7:37. It is also of interest that Augustine (354-430 C.E.), usually referred to as “Saint Augustine,” at one time believed that Peter was the rock-mass but later changed his view. Lange’s Commentary on the Holy Scriptures (Mt 16:18, ftn, p. 296) quotes Augustine as saying: “The rock is not so named from Peter, but Peter from the rock (non enim a Petro petra, sed Petrus a petra), even as Christ is not so called after the Christian, but the Christian after Christ. For the reason why the Lord says, ‘On this rock I will build my church,’ is that Peter had said: ‘Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ On this rock, which thou hast confessed, says he, I will build my church. For Christ was the rock (petra enim erat Christus), upon which also Peter himself was built; for other foundation can no man lay, than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”—Translated and edited by P. It is an exact replica of the original Christus statue produced by Bertel Thorvaldsen in Italy before its placement in Denmark in the early 1800s. Also included in the Rome Temple Visitors’ Center are marble statue replicas of the original Twelve Apostles. The word disciple " refers to a "learner" or "follower" The word "apostle" refers to "one who is sent out" While Jesus was on earth, the 12 were called disciples. The 12 disciples followed Jesus Christ, learned from him, and were trained by him.
The names of the 12 are:
1. Simon Peter (brother of Andrew) - He was active in bringing people to Jesus - Bible writer
2. James (son of Zebedee & older brother of john) also called"James the greater" - Bible writer
3. John (son of Zebedee and brother of James) - Bible writer

ROCK
This translates the Greek word peʹtra (feminine gender), which designates a mass of rock (Mt 7:24, 25; 27:51, 60; Lu 6:48; 8:6, 13; Re 6:15, 16) and therefore differs from peʹtros (masculine gender and employed as a proper name, Peter), meaning “piece of rock.” This distinction makes it clear that, when saying to Peter, “You are Peter, and on this rock-mass I will build my congregation,” Jesus was not using synonymous terms. (Mt 16:18) Even in the Aramaic (Syriac) version the distinction is apparent from a difference in the gender of the particle preceding the word kiʼphaʼ, used for both “Peter” and “rock.” The masculine verbal pronoun (hu) precedes “Peter,” but “rock” is preceded by the feminine demonstrative adjective (hadeʼ).
That the apostles did not understand Jesus’ statement to signify that Peter was the rock-mass is evident from the fact that they later disputed about who seemed to be the greatest among them. (Mr 9:33-35; Lu 22:24-26) There would have been no basis for such disputing had Peter been given the primacy as the rock-mass on which the congregation was to be built. The Scriptures clearly show that as foundation stones, all the apostles are equal. All of them, including Peter, rest upon Christ Jesus as the foundation cornerstone. (Eph 2:19-22; Re 21:2, 9-14) Peter himself identified the rock-mass (peʹtra) on which the congregation is built as being Christ Jesus. (1Pe 2:4-8) Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote: “For they [the Israelites] used to drink from the spiritual rock-mass that followed them, and that rock-mass meant the Christ.” (1Co 10:4) On at least two occasions and in two different locations the Israelites received a miraculous provision of water from a rock-mass. (Ex 17:5-7; Nu 20:1-11) Therefore, the rock-mass as a source of water, in effect, followed them. The rock-mass itself was evidently a pictorial, or symbolic, type of Christ Jesus, who said to the Jews: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.”—Joh 7:37.
It is also of interest that Augustine (354-430 C.E.), usually referred to as “Saint Augustine,” at one time believed that Peter was the rock-mass but later changed his view. Lange’s Commentary on the Holy Scriptures (Mt 16:18, ftn, p. 296) quotes Augustine as saying: “The rock is not so named from Peter, but Peter from the rock (non enim a Petro petra, sed Petrus a petra), even as Christ is not so called after the Christian, but the Christian after Christ. As the Rome Italy Temple and visitors’ center advance toward completion, a major benchmark has occurred within the visitors’ center — the installation of the marble statue of the resurrected Christ. It is an exact replica of the original Christus statue produced by Bertel Thorvaldsen in Italy before its placement in Denmark in the early 1800s.
Also included in the Rome Temple Visitors’ Center are marble statue replicas of the original Twelve Apostles. End Times News: - This ministry was birthed in Oct 2014 following the leading of the Lord to bring sound teaching, particularly in regards to eschatology to a wider audience. The mandate of the ministry is fourfold.
1. To preach the gospel to those who are lost (Romans 10:14)
2. To teach sound doctrine, and encourage the church (Titus 2:1)
3. To expose the deceptions that have crept into the church (Ephesians 5:11)
4. To prepare the church for tribulation and the second coming, by pointing out the signs of the end times (Matthew 24:33)
Bio: Pastor D was brought up in a Christian household, and saved as a young man, he acknowledged the call of God upon his life at the age of 15 to teach the Word of God and to Pastor the flock. Subsequent years were a rollercoaster ride of faith vs flesh as the Romans 7 war played out, the heart wanting to serve the Lord, but the flesh manifesting the works of a rebellious teenager. Eventually after graduating school, he spent a year working as a youth worker in London with ‘Youth For Christ’, it was during this time that the Lord dealt deeply with the self-righteous, cocky, proud and rebellious heart, through much sorrow, the unexpected death of a close friend, the break-up of his family and the loneliness of living in a city where he knew nobody, the Lord stripped him bare of every comfort and prepared him to be released into ministry. He was trained in the Apostolic School of Ministry, in Bristol UK, (to where he returned for 3 years for this purpose) and ordained in the year 2000 and has since moved back to London where the End Times News Ministry is based. Until 30th November 2015 he supported himself by working as a Technical Officer for the local council, after losing this job due to the content of this channel, Pastor D now lives by faith.
