Tentative ranking of James Bond movies starting with best (1).
Some oldies might be over-ranked to give credit to the findings that allowed the build-up of the series.
Includes "Never say never again" which is not an EON production but excludes "Casino Royale" (1967) which is a parody.

Epic films are defined as large scale, sweeping scope, and spectacle. But my definition requires that they also have substance and depth.
Great works of art change you. They crawl inside of you so that, years later, you still remember them clearly. I don't claim these are 'THE definitive list'. This list says more about me, personally, which is always true with these lists. I include only films that I believe deserve 10 stars. And, as always, it is ever in progress.
Nine and ten star foreign language films. Still compiling this list.
A summary of what has been a very good year for film watching. I've seen 97 movies for the first time this year. Here are the top 20 best and worst, and top 10 overrated and underrated. Enjoy.
TV series with opening title sequences that are works of art in themselves. That tell the whole story of the series. That pull you in and make you watch them start to finish. That pump you up, make you shudder or make you cry. That are gaspingly spectacular.

If you're tired of being treated like an idiot audience by network execs, then you'll like this list. I want tour de force, well-scripted, intelligent shows with unpredictable plots, complex characters & renegade direction. Shows that take risks to create exceptional television. Many are British, Canadian or Aussie. It's all drama, suspense, mystery but no zombies, vampires or super heroes. 1998 to 2016 in no particular order after the first 15. Feel free to comment but please be polite.
Movie or TV drama with either copy-cat premises, bad writing/directing/acting, mugging that's supposed to be comedy, or is just embarrassingly inane... all, in my, ahem, humble opinion, a criminal waste of time.
Hot new dramatic television series or loser? Check out my comments which I add as the show airs and how many stars I give it.
This list is the most extensive list of 2016 TV dramas on IMDb. I'm always adding new material as it becomes available so check back from time to time to see what's new.

Don't look for great meaning—just sit back and be entertained with some damn good movies.
Most people don't realize that the Allied victory in WWII was never a sure thing. At times, it came down to dumb luck--e.g. Hitler slept late on the morning of D-Day and his generals were too scared to wake him up for permission to move the Panzer reserves to the beach. Rommel would never have waited for permission, but then, he'd gone home for a birthday party...
Obviously, movies don't have to stick to the facts of history, but, you might be surprised how often they do. More important than facts, are the human stories. They are as prodigious as the stars and as universal as the "still, small voice" inside all of us. They tell the real history.
[Still in progress. No particular order but nothing under my rating of 7]

WWI was a war like no other ever fought in human history. The total number of military and civilian casualties was over 38 million. Right on the heels of it came the 1918 flu pandemic which killed another 50 to 100 million people—between 3-5% of the world's population. Boundaries that had defined empires dissolved and a new map of the world emerged.
You cannot understand WWII without knowing the history of WWI and you certainly cannot understand the world today without knowing the history of both wars. Movies don't have to stick to fact, but many remain very close. More importantly, the human stories give us a sense of what was won and what was lost.

Living with a comedian requires a highly developed bull *beep* antenna. There are lots of reasons something is funny, but only one reason it's not -- if it's bull *beep* What defines bull *beep*? Ahhhh... THAT'S the secret. The only clue I can give you is--when something is not true or real. (AND the fact that IMDb won't let me say bull *beep*)

Films or TV about women with courage. Not weapon-wielding amazons, but women confronting real situations - sometimes unimaginable hardships, sometimes challenges that are all too common.
I've tried to include some you might not know or have considered. No particular order.
Shows that were awesome but got greedy & didn't quit while the show was great. As a result, their last season spoiled their overall reputation.
My top rated Action Feature Films.
I've given these movies either a 7 (Good), 8 (Very Good), 9 (Excellent) or a (Perfect) 10.

James Bond is one of the greatest cinematic icons ever. As a huge fan of the formula, I have ranked all 23 films from worst to best. Just because I'm fan, it doesn't mean I like them all and he's had a few duds. So, here's my ranking and by the way, don't worry as most of you will likely agree with most of these.
Action films are the most entertaining kind out there for those that consider guns and bullets an essential element. People's tastes might differ about what makes a good action film and a lot of times it is mixed with other genres. I'm a big fan of action films and hope you find some that you haven't seen yet. If you have a cool Guns 'n Bullets suggestion, please write it in the comments!

This list will add top 10 great sports and games movies in Bollywood. Importance of sports is relatively very low in India and hence sport movies too. Hence every sports movie made is appreciative in itself, whether it amassed critical audience or not. Numbers here are in any random order and does not suggest level of greatness in the movie. Please leave comments if you think differently and have something in mind which you want me to notice.
Protagonist is introduced to another world and changes from ordinary man/woman to 'the hero'.
What really gives a movie actor staying power? The perception that there was nobody like him or her before certainly helps, and that is a main line of reasoning as to the success of Arnold Schwarzenegger on screen.
However, the main image here is of Arnold as the Terminator on the famed motorcycle, and I believe this is a recreation -- whether on purpose or not -- of the predecessor to smoldering cinematic manliness, Marlon Brando in "The Wild One". (There might also be a parallel to Marcello Mastroianni). These kind of on-screen echoes and their bases in reason and/or chance are an intriguing aspect of studying film history: they occur all over the place, across cultures and on-camera republics. Consider Charlie Sheen in "Hot Shots", an echo of Sylvester Stallone in "Rambo", as an example of the purposeful parallel by comedy. The cinematic resonance via drama, however, is tougher, and offers more insight into the nature of drama itself. Suffice it to say that there is something inherently dramatic and comedic about Schwarzenegger, in a different ratio than it existed with Brando, and this unpredictability secured him a pivotal place in the cinematic imagination.

Question:“What is the point of large lists?” Lists like this have a "Refine list" feature (located in the right hand side of the page), which is a powerful filtering tool. With this tool one can exclude all of the films that one has already "rated"(seen), or that are in the >>>>> "watchlist", or exclude films that have been rated below lets say 6/10 stars, etc. With this list you get the ability to filter the list any way you like... to drill down on the exact content that you are looking for. All filters can be used at the same time, in any combination.

What other kinds of films are even worth to go to the cinema anymore?
Open range, speed, spec. effects.. are reasons for me to still drive an hour per direction to a cinema.
Suggestions via P.M. appreciated !

. Order: 'List Order' is mostly the US release date.
If the US has no release date or a very late one, than it is Germany's release date

High-rise horror, action and thrillers.
The plot usually involves someone having to fight their way up to the top of a block or fight their way down and out. Common set pieces include room-to-room fighting and poorly lit corridors, so I've also included films set in larger apartment buildings, which has a very similar feel even if they aren't as far off the ground (although far enough that the fall would be lethal).
The theme has become popular for zombie films and their cousins amongst the contagiously violent, as it takes the siege element introduced in Night of the Living Dead (which was heavily influenced by The Last Man on Earth) and raises the stakes to new heights.
See also: Hoodie horror, which often takes place in tower blocks. In addition, Don't Ever Get in the Elevator! is a list of lift/elevator-based films (not my list but I know the creator). Although it might seem the opposite of subterranean horror, there are some films that are essential set in inverted tower blocks, like Resident Evil and Fortress.
Comments: As I don't have a Facebook account I cannot interact with the new comments system, so have switched it off and replaced it with a thread on the message board.

This list has been created based on my opinion only. I have neither rated these films based on critic point of view nor popularity. All I can say is these movies made my time 100% worth. Though I had seen certain classics like Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Vertigo, Rear Window, Pshyco, Gone with the wind, Apocalypse Now, Lawrence of Arabia, Bicycle thieves, 2001 Space Odyssey, Rashomon, The Seventh Seal, God Father II, Cinema Paradiso and Post 90s films like Forrest Gump, Memento, Pulp fiction, Seven, Lord of the rings, The Notebook, Old Boy, Inception etc had not been included in this list because those films are either close to my Heart or close to my Mind, definitely not both, apart from that there is no other reason for not including them in this list. As a movie Lover I respect each and every person's opinion and thoughts about any film which has been made so far in the film industry.
Fitness Inspiration and GYM Motivation Movies
Basically some of my favorite non-horror or comedy movies. Mostly older stuff because I hate CGI with a passion. If you feel the same way, you might just like my list. I will be updating this list with new titles periodically. (hopefully anyway!) Thanks for looking!

This bunch of misfits are calm, cool and relaxed. They definitely know what they want and know how to get it
A fair amount of super hero's, not what I was planning but I can work with it --- not sorted
Not very diverse, but hey, there are very few films, where true pure karate is shown :).
When I thought of this I did not realise how may cop shows I would recall --- Not Sorted yet
This list is what I consider to be the best movies or tv shows that involve sword and/or shield action. Movies that feature gun powder need not apply.
List of Action movies I have seen... A must see list Only 7 and above in my view... Enjoy
The common denominator here is the mafia and highly regarded movies.
The best films you'd wanna watch no matter who you are, find out about popular titles before anyone else!

I largely made the list for myself, so I could keep a track of some of these early classics as I work through their catalogue (some are classic for being good, others for being so bad they are good and some are just bad) but I'm making it public as I'm sure there are other people out there who'd be interest - if nothing else you can grab the bad ones, some beer, some friends and hold your own MST3K (a number of them have appeared on the show).
So here we have the classic Master of the Flying Guillotine along with a couple of Bruceploitation films, some reasonable kung-fu films and the oddity that is The Impossible Kid.
See also: the equivalent lists for horror and science-fiction.
Further reading: If you want to track down other PD films outside of these genres then a good place to start is Wikipedia's list of public domain films in the US, which also explains the situation. Their page on public domain films has a wider focus. There are numerous sites offering public domain films but I can't really vouch for their checks (just Google them up).
* I can't check the copyright status of each one but they are pretty diligent (although not perhaps as careful as the Gutenberg Project, but they might be being over cautious some times) so there are unlikely to be any legal issues, although you'd want to check the copyright situation in your own country to be sure (America has longer copyright period than somewhere like Australia, for example. So if you go by what is available in the US you should be fine). There are other places online with PD films but IA is the most trustworthy source.

Kung-fu films that feature a decent percentage of the Five Venoms (to be a contender it needs 3 or more of the 6, yes I know, confusing but Wei Pai/Snake was one of the 5 Venoms in the film but doesn't usually appear in the Venoms' films. I will note a few examples with only 2 of the core Venoms). All but one are directed by Chang Cheh and they are all from the Shaw Brothers. Anything else is a cheap cash-in and, to be honest, some of the ones on the list might also be but you'll have to judge that for yourself.
List order: We include a few proto-Venom films in which the team started to coalesce before the Five Deadly Venoms films and then, following that films success, the appearance of members of the group in other films often using a similar formula (with the same actors playing similar roles). As the films came thick and fast I've also noted the release dates (at least according to IMDB, some sources vary) - HK ones unless otherwise noted.
Further reading: Venom Filmography.
Key:
Centipede - Lu Feng
Snake - Wei Pai
Scorpion - Sun Chien
Lizard - Kuo Chui/Philip Kwok
Toad - Lo Meng
Last Student - Chiang Sheng

The plot of the story or should I say the idea of the movie is so great but could not deliver because of some flaws...either by acting, scripts, visual effects..etc.

The hit-man genre isn't going anywhere anytime soon: see the success of recent flicks like Red and The Mechanic and the headlines about the movie Kill List for proof. And it's worth remembering that assassins are people, too: though their profession and methods make them seem like emotionless machines, incapable of sympathy or mercy, professional killers have feelings. Sure, they have to sleep with one eye open, sometimes sitting in a chair, but that's just a consequence of the job. Killing isn't who they are; it's what they do. Our top ten assassins have sympathetic emotional sides that contrast with their cold-blooded personae.
Car chases are a classic element of action movies, and we've seen them since the Silent Era. A well-executed chase can be extremely thrilling, even in an otherwise crappy movie. Since Drive hits theaters soon, we thought it would be a good time to take a look at some of the greatest car chases to ever go careening across the silver screen
The members of this list are all suited to it sufficiently to overlook the duplication. These are characters who are not necessarily evil to the core and in some cases you even have sympathy or fondness for the character. Hush hush... They' re coming.... ( description credited to Flamehorse's List)
Not just guns and bullets but with full of sense and story... Best action film of the past 3 decades
The best among the Action Flicks Yearly... since 2000 to so far this Year
Action movies that have their 'eccentricities' but still manage to pack some serious heat. This is not a 'I have watched this movie 10 years ago on TV' kinda list. All of these are part of my collection, and I like them. This list will be updated.
These are all down to earth rock solid action movies. Truly entertaining, all time best movies, specially for those guys’s, who doesn’t like kids stuff! Guns, bullet, thrill, suspense, awesome cinematography, direction, strong story line and acting- made these movies different from others. Sequel of a movie and same subject’s movies are put together in the list. So no more chit-chat, just enjoy and feel free to put any comments regarding my list.
Some new movies are added, check it out. Thanks to all movie lovers, who finds time to check this list and those who shown appreciation by placing valuable comments.

In addition to the sexiest action actress- I felt I had to make this list to celebrate the incredibly talented and SEXY real action woman behind the baddass stunts that we give the Actress's all the credit for!
Some are new to the biz and others have kicked a lot of ass over the years- And there are many that didn't have photos on IMDB so I left them out- Sorry Ladies you still ROCK!
The names appear in random order-They are all of equal hottness!
Feel free to comment some names that i should add to the list

These are mostly movies with promise/good ideas, however, once the CGI 'beginners' got a hold of it, well the results are there for you to see (or avoid).
Not in order of preference. No horrors, westerns or typical-war films.
Some movies get 'old'. To me - these never got boring and are there to stay in my movies collection.

Pow! Bam! We selected these 20 action flicks on the basis of importance, impact and popularity these rock-'em, sock-'em movies have enjoyed for the past 20 years. In the case of franchises, we went with the best in the series -- but do note that "Top" does not necessarily mean "Best".
