I don't know if I'm happy/ sleepy or mad/ sleepy.... BUT This food better be as good as the 4 hour wait!

Well I have to say Franklins Bbq definitely lived up to the hype. The 4 hour wait was well worth it. The brisket was the best brisket I've ever had (even better than mine lol) it was fall apart moist and full of flavor, great bark. The pork ribs were fall apart moist also with just enough spice. Absolutely no sauce needed. Waiting in line was also a fun part of the experience we met people from Wisconsin, California and of course Texas. Johnny Cash music blaring over the ou...tdoor speakers was cool also. The customer service was great. Once I sat down Aaron came over and asked where I got my shirt. He came over mid meal again and asked how we were doing. Other members of the restaurant staff stopped by and asked if we needed anything. Very friendly and cool vibe in the place, everyone was happy. I definitely recommend Franklins BBQ, I now know why it's been called the best in the country. I ate way too much but I will be back.

Soooo if you want to see what this BBQ is about, make sure you have plenty of time and patience. I came on a Tuesday around 12:30pm after a convention and waited in line for an hour. I was right behind the person who was guaranteed food. The staff was super nice, very upfront with you and always updating the line (in terms of wait time and what meats they had left). You can hang out, drink a beer while you wait or talk to others in line. I got through the line and when I got... to the front they had brisket and sausage left so I went for a brisket sandwich. It was awesome!!! The meat was deliciously cooked and went down well with my Austin East Cider. They sell by the pound so I got some sausage and brisket with slaw and potato salad to go. The meat tasted amazing after it was reheated; sausage has a hint of pepper to me that is strong but if you like that, try it! The potato salad had a good texture and a nice mustardy taste. About 10 minutes after I got my food a sold out sign was placed on the door. Overall this place is a must and if I have the time to wait again I'll do it because the ribs (I didn't get to try) are waiting for me

This is my first review ever! I usually don't but I feel like This is a must. We were in dallas for a cheer competition and hubby wanted to drive 3 hours to get BBQ I thought he is crazy!!!! Got there saw the line and thought everyone here is crazy! As we spoke to people in line, sounds like everyone drove far. They are all crazy!!!!! Then I waiting in line at 9 got food at 2. That's 5 hours in line. I'm like I don't even like smoked foods, I don't like sausages. Why am I in line! But let me tell you it was the best!!!! I would do it all over again! So glad my Hubby's friend didn't feel good and he dragged me out. Oh sweet tea is also bomb!

Visited from Ohio and had seen Franklins BBQ online and the wait lines/times. Thought of people waited that long it must be good! Best BBQ ever!! Would highly recommend it to everyone to try while here....well worth the wait!! We waited about 2 hours, met new people in line and drank a couple beers together. By the time we ordered our party of 2 turned to a party of 8 and we all are together. Having a defined palate I tend to be extremely finicky about food. The brisket and beef ribs were melt in your mouth and so moist and flavorful that you don't even need BBQ sauce to eat it. It was a great experience and made new friends and had great food. Wish I lived here to eat it on a regular basis.

First and foremost the food was excellent, it was beautiful and amazing ....oh did I mention it was delicious ., I have seen many BBQ places across America and I must say this is by far IT, the best one ever , hands down best brisket in the world , coming from miami I must say this is the best , you guys are amazing , thank you once again for a memorable experience and you bet your asses i will come back again !!!!

The hype is real. Franklin is the best. We waiting for 6 hours to be first in line on Saturday and it was worth every second. The line is part of the experience! Enjoy the wait, the people and enjoy the food! The brisket and ribs is the best I've ever had. We will continue to come back for years to come!

Got in line at 7:30 am and waited for 3 1/2 hours, it was definitely worth the 22 hour drive and the wait, the brisket, pulled pork, turkey, and bourbon banana pudding were to die for, we've decided we're gonna hit the line once more before we head back home!!!

This is the most amazing group of people and their food is excellent!!! I can't possibly think if one reason that this should be any less than a 5 star experience!! I honestly can't say enough good things. I waited 6 hours to be one of the first ones there, I assure you I would have waited 8 or more. It truly is worth it!

Best brisket and Pork Ribs on the planet! And that is after eating at others spots around central Texas like Snow's, Black's and La BBQ. La BBQ was the champ with their beef ribs though (Franklin's wasn't serving beef ribs on this day, so it was pretty much a forfeit). Waiting in the line was actually pretty fun! We met a lot of good people.
