Did Cindy Crawford just confirm the gender of the Clooney twins?

It looks like Cindy Crawford has spilled the beans on the gender of the unborn Clooney twins.

The supermodel, who is a close friend of George Clooney, shared an Instagram post showing a cute picture of onseies saying 'Casa' in light pink and 'Migo' in baby blue. Her accompanying post has a boy and a girl emoji.

"Hey @randegerber – think I got the perfect baby gift for the Clooneys!" she wrote.

Clooney has previously joked he would name the twins after his tequila line Casamigos. Crawford's husband Rande Gerber is Clooney's business partner.

The couple themselves have remained tight-lipped on the topic, with Clooney claiming he and his wife had no intention of finding out their babies' genders.

"I don't know where this rumour comes from that we're going to have a boy and a girl. We ourselves don't know yet and don't want to know," he told the French outlet Paris Match in a new interview.

However the actor's mother last month spoke about her excitement to be getting a grandson and a granddaughter.

"It will be one of each," Nina Clooney said in an interview with Radar. "Yes, a boy and a girl. That's what I've been told. My husband and I are very excited."

Meanwhile, Clooney has spoken about his joy of soon becoming a father.

Talking to reporters on the Red Carpet of CinemaCon in Las Vegas, he told of his growing happiness with his wife human-rights-lawyer Amal Clooney.

"Can you believe it? Yeah, [I'm] even happier [than before,]" he told E!News.

"I didn't know that we'd have kids. I was very happy that we were going to get married and then [a pregnancy] seemed like the next step."

He joked that his time working as a doctor on the TV series ER will be good practice for looking after the twins.

"Hang on a minute, I played a pediatrician on ER," he said laughing.

"So I know how to work on extra children. If there's any accidents, I'm there. I'm the guy.

"I know swaddling ... I know what I'm in for."

Two time Oscar winner Clooney, who was in Las Vegas with Matt Damon and Julianne Moore to present the first trailer for Paramount's Suburbicon, also spoke to Extra about how his wife of nearly three years was going. The twins will be the first kids for both of them.

"She is doing really great; she is amazing," he told Extra. "I don't have anything to do. There is nothing I can do to help but make tea and stuff."

But when it comes to deciding on names for the children, the notoriously private Clooney reverted to his sense of humour to deflect from prying reporters' questions, explaining that they don't want to be open to criticism from family and friends.

"I've had friends pick out names around their parents," said Clooney. "And then it becomes ... whatever name you pick they're like, 'Oh, I don't like that. That guy's a prime minister ... Can't name her Susan. You remember your Aunt Susan?'"

Surely whatever names they pick will be just perfect.
