Destruction is one of the Endless, fictional characters from Neil Gaiman's comic book series The Sandman.
He is the fourth eldest of the Endless, and is depicted as a big, red-haired, bearded man (somewhat resembling actor Brian Blessed; Gaiman has mentioned that he would like Blessed to play Destruction in the event of a Sandman movie). He is also known as Olethros. In appearances set in earlier centuries, he is depicted wearing military gear (such as a musketeer's uniform, or plate armour), though in more recent times he is shown in colourful clothes with no particular theme. When Delirium and Morpheus encounter him in the seventh collection of issues in the series, Brief Lives, he has taken to wearing his hair in a ponytail, and owns a talking dog, Barnabas. Since he abandoned his responsibilities there is no sigil in the galleries for him, though he keeps his own gallery (wherein is a sword, his sigil). His realm is not portrayed in the series.

Plot: Richard Harrison has a loving wife, a reliable job and two typically rambunctious teenagers. He is currently experiencing a crisis. A midlife crisis. He's hit The Big 4-0 and his life has drastically changed. While every midlife working stiff descends into daydreams in order to escape their mundane reality, Richard doesn't merely scratch the surface of his fantasies. He physically enters them. For moments at a time, until he's forced to snap back into reality with hilarious results. Whether living a dream as a WWE-style wrestler or performing with Aerosmith to a crowd of thousands, only to find that he's made a fool of himself in reality, its clearly evident that Richard has a problem. A problem that needs to be solved in order to regain the trust of his loving family. Sara, a psychologist helps Richard trace the source of his problems, which began on a family trip to an amusement park on his 49th birthday. It was here that he revisited memories of a lover from his younger and more formative years possibly sparking his need for escape. One commonality that exists within all of his fantasies is the appearance of a mysterious blonde-haired beauty who may hold the key that unlocks the mysteries of midlife.

Genres: Fantasy,This is my tribute to Destruction of The Endless. Destruction is one of my favorites and so I wanted to get a song good enough for him. This took me some time. The song used is Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day. I am not making any money from this video, it is purely for entertainment purposes. The song Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) belongs to Green Day and their record company, the Sandman Chronicles belong to: Neil Gaiman, Vertigo, DC Comics, and the artists who worked on it. The art featured in the video that is not from the comics was found on Google Images and DeviantArt and is AMAZING!

The diminutive versions of the Endless from Neil Gaiman's Sandman mythos are back. Little Delirium throws a party for her dour sister Despair and invites siblings Dream, Destruction, Death, Destiny and Desire. Story and art by Jill Thompson!
Because I found the entrance to my new flat too bleak I started a huge drawing... depicted are "The Endless" from my favourite comic "Sandman" by Neil Gaiman. It is really cool to draw them in my own style... and the end of the clip you can see three of my characters on the oppopsite wall. Of course, it's not finished yet! I like the idea of "Destruction" building a house of cards. ^_^ -Sebastian
I created this machinima as an assignment for my class of Concept Development which is part of the A&T; programme from the NHTV. The characters are based on Delirium and Destruction of the Endless which belong to the universe of The Sandman, a graphic novel created by Neil Gaiman. This is a fanfic.
Twenty-five years since THE SANDMAN changed the landscape of modern comics, Neil Gaiman's legendary series is back! THE SANDMAN: OVERTURE heralds New York Times best-selling writer Neil Gaiman's return to the art form that made him famous, ably abetted by artistic luminary JH Williams III (BATWOMAN, PROMETHEA), whose lush, widescreen images provide an epic scope to The Sandman's origin story. From the birth of a galaxy to the moment that Morpheus is captured, THE SANDMAN: OVERTURE will feature cameo appearances by fan-favorite characters such as The Corinthian, Merv Pumpkinhead and, of course, the Dream King's siblings: Death, Desire, Despair, Delirium, Destruction and Destiny. "People have often asked me what happened to Morpheus to make it possible for him to be captured in THE SANDMAN...
Dream. Destiny. Destruction. The brothers Endless at the San Diego Comic- Con masquerade. As portrayed by Marv Wolfman, Len Wein and ??? I was having camera trouble ( it kept jamming and shutting off) and don't have the name ( nor recall now) the name of the third costumer. Could anyone help with the year of this, the name of the third Endless brother, who portrayed who, and the name of the hostess?
This fake movie trailer is based on one of the most innovative and mind-bending graphic novel series (I think) of all time. The main character is usually the titular Sandman (also known as Dream or Morpheus) and the stories told in each volume take place in the dreams of various people. Dream logic rules so random events and symbolic imagery are prevalent. Really the only constant in the Sandman series from volume to volume are The Endless: Dream, Destiny, Despair, Delirium, Destruction, and Death, as well as periodically The House of Mystery, and Cain and his ever-murdered brother Able. This would be an INCREDIBLY difficult movie to pull off since it would have to capture the majestic and terrifying sensation of dreaming that the comics do. Also there are so many intersecting story-line...
Due to the lack of Sandman Chronicles videos on youtube I am going to start making some. My 1st will be a set of tributes to The Endless siblings starting with the youngest Delirium who used to be Delight. No I am not going in any particular order. DISCLAIMER: I do not own The Sandman Chronicles those belong to Neil Gaiman and their respective artists nor do I own the song Field of Innocence that belongs to Amy Lee, Evanescence, and Eyeball records, I also do not plan on profitting in anyway off of this video it is for mere fan enjoyment. So please enjoy! (The art featured herein that is not from the comics was found on google images & Deviantart and belongs to their respective artists. Also it is amazing) This is my very first slideshow or tribute video so any feedback is necessary. Be ho...
As I'm writing these lines
We're starting to breathe
Having the chance to spread the word
Seems a natural release
Difficult to resist the moment of pleasure
That doesn't exist
Temptation is leading to the abyss
Addicted to the sweet deadly kiss
Mortal remains
Wallow in additional bloodstain
Mortal remains
Hopeless life goes down the drain
Mortal remains
Evil spiritual domain
Mortal remains
Remains
The chance to intimate
Will diminish my pain
Intellectual update
Will show I'm not insane
Slaughtering my dreams
Nothing is like it seems
Suicide pride
Vague thoughts can't decide
Tormenting your soul
No hope on parole
Death wish fated life
