WA lotto ticket wins $15M in Tuesday's Division One draw

Someone in WA is now $15 million dollars richer after a winning division one lotto ticket was sold in the South West city of Busselton.

The lucky ticket was purchased at the Callows Corner Lottery Centre in Busselton for draw 1206 on Tuesday.

The win comes after a struggling family from Midland had the shock of a lifetime after finding out they pocketed millions, not thousands, in the state's second Saturday Lotto Superdraw.

The family bought the Division One ticket at the Canning Vale Newsagency and originally thanked them for what they believed was $420,000 worth prize money but they were wrong.

"We had to sit them down and explain they'd actually pocketed $4.2 million," Lotterywest spokeswoman Pina Compagnone said.

"They immediately broke down before the husband turned to the wife and said they could now afford to pay their overdue power bill."

No word yet on who won the $15M in Busselton yet - but there should be no mistaking the fifteen with six zeroes after it they can now claim.
